That tackle he made against NZ in the final stopping the try in the corner is maybe the best thing he has ever done in my opinion. That was amazing.

Arendse is the closest exponent in world rugby to Christian Cullen currently. Moodie is second by a tiny margin. Reminds me of Cullen and Umaga in their pomp. South African Rugby is extremely blessed to have these two future greats terrorising defences the world over at the same time. They are magic to watch.

There are some people still in SA who said it's because of quotas that Duhan is not in the Bok team. There is no disrespect to Duhan at all great player, but our current wingers are top class as well. People need to stop using quotas as an excuse.

Only people still doing that are racist, wake up, Rassie won us 2019 WC while Arendse was still playing 7s. Leave that stuff in past, just ignore keyboard warriors when they bitch about qoutas.

Look man, i know a lot of racists, but I've never heard anyone say that. There aren't a lot of people with Adrense's record (he has one less try than Cheslin, and he has played 1/3 of the games). I haven't even heard those racists complain about Siya out of begrudging respect.

It was a huge debate for a long time but since 2019 I haven't heard many people saying anything about quotas any more. To be fair, there was a point where based purely on merit you'd have picked a slightly different team than the one that would start and it was because of quotas but honestly, who cares. Look where quotas got us, from struggling to pick 4 non-white players in a starting 15 to winning a WC with half the team not being white and no argument whatsoever about who should start instead. We've now unlocked at least a considerable amount of the potential of 80% of our population that before had minimal access to rugby. Of course that was going to improve us a nation. Next up, the threepeat?

@@christopherburke2082 That wasn't a result of quotas but longterm gain from investment in grassroots lvls. Quotas did nothing but damage, as windowdressing quickfixes always do. Its certainlly great to see the grassroots efforts by SARU and private sector now bearing fruit (no help at all from government/sports department, if any, acheived dispite governments interference to trainwreck it all regularly). The greats in the Bok team now were scouted and invested into during their youth, outside of any quota impact. It was always going to take time to come through, no other way to ever do it sustainably. Quota's were simply a fake representation of a fake solution to ensure the votes still came in the shortterm. As we've seen in many interviews, having quotas did alot of damage to the recipient players themselves, robbing them of confidence, do they deserve it or not, always felt and still feel sorry for those players.

I effing detest AA and DEI and all that and if believing that different racist are different then I’m a racist but I’d take Cheslin and KLA over vd Duhan every day of the week and twice on Saturdays.

League is the least watched and supported rugby code in the world. Only popular Aus and NZ and some places in England. Its quite amazing how Aus/NZ think their opinions speaks for the whole world.

@@jdQuincy Please tell everyone why they should listen to NZ pundits that promote league instead of Union? Rugby is a sport for big and small, fast and slow, and different strategies. That’s what makes Union great. Union is like chess, and League is like checkers. NZ can say what they like, SA have won the last 2 World Cups. Who cares what NZ pundits and their one-eyed,biased, one-dimensional commentators think? I’d suggest they stop embarrassing themselves and stop complaining about the wonderful sport that is rugby Union.
