    I'm a therapist, you'd be amazed how many people I have to tell to go outside and walk in nature, just admiring the birds, the nature, the beauty of what God has given us. It's unreal.

    You did make my life at least 1% better today. You reminded me of what's important. I've gotten kind of lazy the last few months and buried myself in too much time on my computer and in too many time wasters. I decluttered like crazy this year though so getting back to that will get me back on the path. Thanks for the reminder. BTW I'm 82 and I'm still learning and growing. It never ends unless you stop listening.

    I so appreciate and respect that you are continuing to improve yourself and your life at 82. I understand about burying yourself in the computer. We are so inundated these days with all that is going on it is very easy to turn our brains off rather than turning them in a better direction than what life circumstances are forcing on us daily. Thank you for sharing.

    I have been making a list for over a decade. For me, the best thing was to make a list on computer but don’t look at it obsessively but at least once every second week. Surprisingly, for me, it works more effectively because I subconsciously end up achieving goals without realizing until after the fact.

    Whenever I see videos speaking about money. I always wish people knew what I knew about money and how it’s not so difficult to hit your financial target if you know the right steps to take. Honestly, I see Not making upto a million before retirement as an unfulfilled retirement. I’m 54 and my wife is 50 . We are both retired with over $3million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. No longer putting blames on the FED for our misfortunes. Saving and investing lifestyle in the stock market made it possible for us this early. Even till now, we earn weekly.

    I feel one Of the greatest challenges that we first timers face in the ma rket is that we end up losing all we have, making it difficult to find ourselves back to our feet. My biggest advice is to always seek the services of a professional just like I did when I ventured into it for the first time. Big thanks to Larysa Caba. I now make huge profits by weekly through her services while still learning to stand on my own.

The way she decides to make a profit for her clients. she allows you to express your fears and she still rests your fears and that is my respect. I told him I would no longer help him, I have enough on my plate. My Father died 11 years ago and I've had to step up taking care of My Mother. When I was a child I read voraciously. My mother worked for Readers Digest. She would come home with ALL the Readers Digest’s condensed books. ( as well as the magazines). From the seventies through the eighties I read every book they condensed. As I grew older I reread the ones I liked the most in regular book form and got the same experience. I could never understand how they did that.

    I started in November getting my financial $@$8 together. I figured there was no better time than before all of the holiday craziness and spending to watch and track what I was doing. A good analog for what I need when things don’t go according to plan, and how I can accommodate for atypical circumstances (which are actually more typical than I realized). Still going strong and now I’ve made my family’s finances my hobby :)

    One of my favorite moments I have daily. And I have had it in many places and in interesting situations: watching the milk “mix” into my daily cups of breakfast tea. I pour a splash in and watch it cloud and roll through the tea. I often can tell from the color of the tea if I am going to have a “perfect” tasting tea that morning. This part of the day always makes me smile. ☕️🫖

    Create instead of consume! This has been on my mind a lot these days. I think with content, it creates fomo - there's so much content though, no one could consume what is already out there in their lifetime - so at some point, we have to create. Especially when the content you watch is about creating (food, things for your home, diy's etc.). We can never come into our own until we start creating and discovering.

He had been diagnosed with cancer and had a year to live and when asked about living with such a diagnosis he said it was a reminder to place more value on each minute and to enjoy every sandwich. Really good stuff you've got going on here.

    For me New Year's Resolutions are simply a time to check in on my overall life goals, just like my Birthday in June. Most of my Resolutions are things I've been working on for months or even years already, and the Resolution itself is setting a deadline or recognizing the next benchmark. One benchmark lately has been checking on my emotional/mental health. My family suffered a high number of losses over the years and it's been good to note and watch my healing process and recognize points of our new normal.

    I find creativity a challenge. I dabble but ultimitaly its not innate. Journaling, substitutions when i'm cooking... see! Grasping at straws here. Tried creating a few videos of myself to get over the fear of doing it but why? I have stepped up on reading and your suggestions on reading to grow in the morning and fiction at night has been a blessing. Thank you for yor thoughtful videos and sharing your strive for equilibrium. Its inspiring.

    I really like the idea of not buying anything non-necessary for a month and slow down to enjoy the taste of coffee. I am a coffeeholic but I feel like I am always on the go… ☕️😊

    @@InnerGiggles When I first started and I was tempted I would look at all the supplies and stuff I had before going to the store to refresh my mind that I have plenty already. Then when at the store I would pick the item I wanted up, look at it, hold it for a while and then put it back on the shelf after 10-15 mins. I would at times even put it in my cart and look at it and then before going to check out or leaving that section I would put it back. It helps to technically have it for a few minutes and the craving to get it goes away. Similar to the concept of smelling coffee and food it fills you up in a way. I also would think of all the things I had that were similar to the item I wanted and realized I didn't need it. And I would tell myself if I really needed I could always get it then when the need did arise like when I would run out of white paint. It is hard at first but the key is to not cave. Each day and time gets easier. Now I just look at the items as I pass and don't feel the need to get them. I also found the same satisfaction of buying when I buy the essentials so no need to buy extras of things I don't need when I feel accomplished just buying essentials when I need them. We are human and are always attracted to getting more things. We have to recall in our mind that we are happy with what we already got. For me, my buying had gotten so out of hand that all the art supplies cluttered my room. A cluttered room quickly nibbed the bud of wanting to get more stuff 😂 Hope it helps.

    Have you not needed new sneakers and socks?

  • @WeblightDreams

    @WeblightDreams

    4 ай бұрын

    @@pennynickels5216 No to the sneakers, I had like three pairs so I used the oldest ones for outside work and the newest ones for going out and work. My mom and family also gift me new shoes so I know I will have too many. I have to tell my family to also not gift me essential things because I already have enough. Socks, only when the ones I have are too loose to use then I toss those and buy one or two packs. It's about only buying when you need them and not stacking up on things. You'll be surprised just how much you have. One typical only needs enough clothes for two weeks, you wash them and reuse and when they get too worn you replace. A few items will stay newer because you don't use those as much like dresses and going out clothes.
