7 Lakes trek | Day 3 | crossing 5 lakes & 2 passes in 1 day |
This video is from 3rd day of 7 lakes of Dhauladhar trek. On second day we have crossed 4 high altitude passes and two lakes out of seven lakes. 1st was Nag Dal and 2nd was Chandrakup Dal where we decided to camp in the evening.
On 3rd day we started at 7:00 in the morning and crossed a pass to reach Dhamghodi Dal and crossed it again to reach Lam Dal. After Lamdal we crossed Kali Kund and Nagara Dal and had lunch at Nagara Dal. After lunch we started our trek to Minkiani Pass and reached at Kareri Dal on 7:30 in the evening.
And with Kareri lake our yatra of Seven holy Dal completed. On 4th day it started raining from early morning and keeps raining until we reached home. So I didn’t recorded anything on our way back and ended this series over Kareri lake.

Minkanki pass is a tough exposed trek. I did in April 2012.

Yes it is tough Kareri to Minkiani Pass section is even tougher than Snowline to Indrahar Pass

Very beautifully photographed with precise to the point commentary. I could visualise the trek. One point is Indrahar pass is the highest point nd throughout trek is at the altitude of 4100mtrs. So your route is excellent from completing the trek. I think from my age point of view it will be 5 days trek.

Yes everyone must take at least 5 days to complete this trek and Indrahar pass is at 4300m as I’ve measured it myself and highest point in this trek is Chandrakup ka galu pass which is around 4450m

It was around 45 kms on foot but my gps route recording stopped mid may isiliye accurate kms nahi bta skta but 45 se 50 ke beech me hi hoga

In this series I’ve used Nikon D5300, Insta360 OneR and Redmi K20pro Phone camera collectively and edited all series on VN video editor on mobile. For finding routes I use google maps satellite imagery to plan my way before going on the trek and while on trek I use OSM and+ offline map to check my location on the route.
