I order online allot so use 2 or 3 boxes and make different configurations with them even if that means just turning one box different ways.

I hear that!!!! We can't leave ANY boxes around our Creamsicle! He inhabits them faster than they hit the floor!!!!

I already showered my cat with every possible gift i can give her.

I started growing catnip years ago and it self seeds prolifically so I have now more than enough...at times walking by it I grab a handful , take it in the house and proceed to rub my "Fiesty" cat's tennis ball and other toys into it twisting it back and forth to release😮 the catnip "juices" . The result is when I toss his toys to him he rubs on the scent the grabs them with his front paws and kicks with his back paws giving it a work over...I continue tossing the gifts to him until he gets bored and finds something else to be happy with. And I'm happy when he's happy ❤🐈‍⬛😻👍

I like giving my cat Tiger-J lots of love 💕.

I have to think that the self cleaning litter boxes are eventually going to get litter stuck in their nooks and crannies. Only play with lasers for a very short time because it will make them frustrated to never catch the dot. Also, keep it out of their eyes, please. Stainless steel water fountains are preferred over plastic ones since plastic is a petroleum product and may leach some of that nastiness into the water. All for the love of our beloved companions! ❤

We have not experienced that! You have to think that engineers take those concerns into consideration when designing the product. But I can say from experience that you want to at least use a mid-tier quality litter because cheapy litters are prone to smudging. We're currently using Tidy Cats litter and it leaves no smudges. The Premium Litter by Litter Robot is also smudge-free, but is pricey. Great advice about the laser pointers and pet fountains!

Funny you should say that, I agree with you on EVERYTHING! I think regular litter boxes, and I get new ones and clean them constantly, are more sanitary in the long run. I NEVER use a laser pointer, just use safe things for her to chase and catch while I run because I don't want her to get frustrated, and my girl is picky about water dishes. She loves her wide mouthed china cup.

They will always purrfer the box that the gift came in.

My kitty always gets special extra treats so she can join the Holiday Food club.

I love seeing the cats of the week!

My cats have tons of toys and they just sleep when we aren’t home lol, they do play a lot when we are home. 😂 I would love to enter my cats to be featured they’re beautiful and I love them I adopted them 9 months ago.

One of my rescue cats plays with her toys every day. The other sniffs at them and walks away even brand new ones. One day, I found him playing and playing with something. It was a gasket from the blender! Sometimes, I will throw one and he finds it and trots it right back to me. For a couple of bux, I order 6 at a time off eBay. I hope this idea helps you entertain your little vixens!

My bf and I both have long hair, so there's plenty of hair ties in our home. All of our kitties love to play with them. Lately, one of our cats actually asks me to play with one with her. She likes to have me dart it around, and she tries to stop it with her paw. If I dart it away, she goes after it but then sits and waits for me to keep playing with it, too. ❤️

Paper shopping bags are always welcome for a short time before recycling.

I’m not sure who the love, attention and play are gifts for- my cats or me?

I have four stray adopted. WRONG !! Money maker. Cats by nature and history are both prey and predators. Cats do not like enclosed spaces where they can't see and monitor the area around to make sure they are safe from approaching predators which increases their stress level drastically.

I also don't use plastic potty boxes. Plastic is porus and a cats urine is highly acidic and gets into the plastic and no matter how much you clean the box you will never get the scent out of the plastic which over time could be one of the reason your cats refuses to use the box and does her / his business just outside the box. Cats hate dirty boxes and cats hate scented litter. People like scented litter. It makes NO sense to spend high dollars for scented expensive litter and the what do you do ? You throw it out. Would you walk on a $20 bill you saw laying on the ground ? And cats are all about routine. Once they start potting somewhere else other than the box, it's hard to stop them. Change to a metal box ( doesn't rust and doesn't hold scent ) and once you scoop it , the scent is gone. Cut out the bottom of similar size plastic box and insert it in the metal box to increase high sides to the metal box so your cat doesn't kick the litter out.

I have a cat box in almost every room or in closets ! Takes the pressure off cleaning it all the time ! He just goes to another box , if it bothers him !

The Letterbox thing is too true! We got a cat last summer and when we came home from school one day, mom told us (glaring at the cat) that apparently the letterbox level was too low, so he took his potty break right beside it in protest. He has also since used the potted plant next to it…so we know why it is now wilting.

litter boxes do not get 'stanky' if you don't skimp on the litter and size of the box and scoop it at least daily... not a big deal I made one of my kitties happy by getting him a box of 48 lattice style balls and letting him empty it himself, he lovves to chase them himself as well as play fetch

Yup, we have 2 neutered males and use 3 litter boxes. Clean them daily. No big deal .

Lots of love. I also got the water fountain. I think the kitties will love it. I like the filter idea too.

Nope. However, you want to use at least a mid-tier quality litter to prevent smudging. From personal experience, the cheapy litter brands are prone to smudging. We currently use Tidy Cats litter and it pairs beautifully with the Litter-Robot.

It's hands down the best self-cleaning litter box on the market right now.

Is the litter robot 4 good for senior cats? My Max is about 14 and likes a larger box to dig in and needs something that's easy to climb into.

These robots are expensive! That being said, many do provide steps to help seniors easy access. Many cats do not like the 'enclosed' feel and lack of depth to the litter itself required by robots. If you decide to try one out, make sure the company has a generous return policy (return shipping can be expensive!!!) and keep the original boxes and packing materials until you feel confident that the robot is a win for you and your cat!

The CEO of Whisker (the company that makes Litter-Robot) found that his cat had a UTI (which can be fatal ) and was able to get her to the vet in time to treat it before it was critical. He would have never known if it weren't for the Litter-Robot's notifications. So sure, the convenience is nice, but the health benefits are easily the top perk.

Any ideas for kitties being dumped at my doorstep? I love and care for them dearly. It gets harder with age. I've tried contacting rescues yet there's not alot of luck in that. To turn a discarded kitty into unknown hands is difficult enough yet there are no shelters in my area. Advice welcomed. Twenty plus felines.

I would love a self cleaning litter box, but I would have to finance my home. I am disabled and. On a very limited income. Would you like to donate one to me?? I don't believe in using a previously used box, it has an odor from a strange cat. I bought her a butterfly that goes around the base she's afraid of it.

There’s really no need to get a self-cleaning litter box. In fact, there are some advantages for _not_ having one, as explained on KZread by Jackson Galaxy in “The Truth About Automatic Litter Boxes.”
