As a brightwin fan, it's kind of hard to admit the fact that the possibility of them doing another series together is really low, and it's even sadder knowing that GMMTV might not want Win to act in another BL series because of the hate he will get from Brightwin 'obsessed' fans that actually think they are together 🤦‍♀️. I do however hope that they act together on any other series and if other actors like Fort, Peat, Boss, Noule, James, Net ect could join, it would be the drama of the century.

As someone who grew up (and came out as gay) decades before there was anything like BL. I have come to enjoy this "new" genre. I also appreciate all the actors who have used their talents and abilities to portray believable gay characters in realistic situations - the emotions ring true. They have filled a hole in my hart that I never knew was there. Even if they go on to do other non-BL lakorns, or go on to other careers, I am thankful for their past work and look forward to seeing their continued growth and career success.

Every time I hear something about Love by Chance I can only think that it was such a chaotic environment that everyone wants to leave in the past, whether out of trauma or guilt.

@@khaeite Well, I think the two main things were the scandal involving Perth's manager who accused Saint's manager of selling Saint to rich old men (Perth and Saint broke up with their managers and Saint was left out of Love by Chance second season, which I think is very unfair), and rumors that Earth suffered bullying and homophobia from other cast members. There are several videos on KZread about controversies in BL series that mention these cases.

Nanon was never a BL actor. I believe with Bad Buddy he dip his toes in that water. He either wanted to use it to increase his popularity or because he’s such a versatile actor, he wanted to play in that type of role since he was young enough to do it, maybe one his next rolls he will be the bad guy. As for Ohm, he is a BL actor. Not sure if he will continue in this realm, he might because he has had different partners before.

@@charlottesantos4199 Nanon only did Bad Buddy because P'Aof asked him to do it and he wanted to work with P'Aof because he is one of the best directors at gmmtv. Plus, he also wanted to work with Ohm because they were close friends and Ohm is a really good actor. But Nanon is very successful lakorn actor and he has won many awards in Thailand and Asia for his acting before doing Bad Buddy. He was just trying something new, and I like that he is always trying different types of roles. But yeah, Ohm is a true bl actor, he has done about 7 bls so far.

So nobody is going to mention the fact that the actor, Choi Woo Shik, starred in the BL drama, The Boy Next Door (2017) and went on to have a major supporting role in Train to Busan and freaking Parasite (2019) that won the Best Picture Oscar that year. Like it's the weirdest thing that no one mentions he has this show in his repertoire and is this huge international star.

Because Boy Next Door is not a BL series. Also BL in Japan, Korea, is kinda like in Hollywood, there is no CP culture and acting as gay character in a series or movies rarely will launch them to stardom. It's usually seen as tackling a challenging role and most of actors only play gay roles once or twice in their long acting career.

All the actors mentioned are talented people and to develop their careers they will almost certainly want to expand their roles rather than be 'type cast'. For me Gulf and Bilkin shine as great character actors, interpreting their roles so well..

I just want to say that Gulf's dream was always to be in CH3 and It's not that he stopped doing bl bc he doesn't want to but, he said it himself, he knows "fans" won't like to see him with another partner. He never hide the fact that he comes from bl series and he is always grateful for the support. He is a very close friends with Bright, he also knows most gmm actors (Win, Dew, Mark, etc...)

Mew was the one who always avoided couple fans (questions about Gulf precisely), you can see that after TT2 he wanted to go for his way (music career, mss, etc) without the shadow of bl, Gulf never cared about it. I don't really know Mew does now but wasn't he the one who talk about queerbating and he himself does it? Gulf is making his acting career on his own, and If couple fans ask him about Mew he would always say nice things. And If he doesn't want to make bl again what's the matter? Most bl fans always claim that they want lgtb actors to play bl 🙃

I'm glad that they respected Perth's choice that he only wants Saint as Pete (I think nobody can play Pete better than Saint ) and didn't cast another person for it and it will be hard for even the audience to connect to characters again #saintsup #perth

I do like seeing new actors coming in to the BL drama, but I have a lot of respect for the ones that stay with the genre, even if they do branch out. I still remember a time when there was maybe one BL a year and it would basically be bromance and we’d have to watch it over and over again bc that’s all there was.

I also think it is best to always have new actors for bl series. It gives them a chance to shine and introduce new faces to bl fans. Just hope that they also try different partners and they can grow more if they try different roles.

Same. I also don'e miss anything of them. Especially Bright Win as neither of them seemed particularly interested in the characters and shows they played in and felt so awkward. Mew aged out and had some drama and Gulf aged out too and are successful in other areas. They did some cameos in spinoffs. I never saw the ITSAY boys as 'BL' actors as that show was a legit LGBTQ+ drama and not a BL so I never expected them to stay in such a genre as actors. I liked Can at the time even though his acting was so green and he looked pained shooting those scenes. I am glad to hear he is still acting so he must have gotten better and found his feet. God had a lot of drama with his departure. Although I liked the original cast more than the new cast, he was a bit awkward but it was his first acting job. Glad he is doing well. BL is for some people and not for others in their career. I love the OG couple Max and Tul. They doing their own thing but they come back when there is an interesting project for them like Manner of Death. They both appreciate the fans and they are still open to BL projects if its good. I heard Tul had some medical issues or something, but he is very supportive of the LGBTQ+ and BL community. I don't consider him as having 'left' as those two transcend BL industry and never 'left' it. They are just actors looking for interesting projects.

@@CuracaoChicSorry to inform you that Tul is retired from acting and is living in the US. He came to the US and got a degree from I believe Columbia University and is now working as a real estate developer. Max is the one who has had physical and mental health issues.😢

Love Bright and Win as actors but I don't miss a bit about them being a bl coupling because that series they did wasn't memorable in my opinion!

I agree. I believe it became hugely popular due to the lockdown and not the the quality of the show or the acting. They were both new and you can see it. I like the show but it’s one of the ones I don’t rewatch. Rewatch shows get higher marks for me.

Years later (this summer) I stumbled upon Bad buddy when I downloaded Hitv app and my obsession with bls started so I actually consider my first bl as bad buddy 😂😂

I was already impacted by the first one! 😭 Bas was honestly my fave character from ITSAY and the only reason I bothered watching IPYM (just his scenes). I'd love to see him more of him someday! (And remember him mostly for his songs, but what ever happened to Gun Achi? Make It Right, Puppy Love, My Tee, SOTUS... he was the BL OST king!)

I honestly never really considered BrightWin as “BL actors.” It was pretty obvious they were never going to do another one since they got crazy famous from just doing one. In my opinion, I really disliked 2gether and thought their acting in it was bad anyways.

I agree. I never felt their chemistry as a romantic couple, but they are both amazingly talented actors and musicians. As friends, I see a lot of brotherly love. I watch BL dramas, but other non-BL dramas too. I liked them in F4 Thailand a lot.

I feel exactly the same way. To be honest, the entire storyline of 2gether was disgusting to me. Pretend to be gay to get rid of the gay guy who is hitting on you. "Keep looking at me like that and I'm gonna kiss till you drop". What a dumb line. It's like a bully telling this victim "I'm gonna beat you till you're black and blue". What that means is that they don't have the guts to actually do it. Bright was never one of my favs. And I have a real distain for Thai (or any) actors using BL to get a step up but treating those characters they play or they play opposite like gays are poison. Also why I always hated God (2moons). I think his acting is terrible. So glad they got rid of him for S2 and 3. I know 2Moons was a shitshow in politics and personalities. But I definitely preferred the cast of 2moons2. At least they all looked like they got along together and didn't hate acting in their scenes.

It's a bit weird to me both Saint and Mean were mentioned but neither of them made the list. They're both still active acting-wise and Saint even produces his own series under Idol Factory.

BrightWin 2gether series only successful due to their good look. The series and acting were average at best. Once they become famous they just no longer want to act in BL I assume. Bright been acting long before the series but never really become that famous.

I don’t think bright and Win were very good actors so we’re not missing anything and to tell the truth the way the BL industry works …they go through guys constantly… There’s always new guys to make up for whoever is not seen anymore….

I enjoyed the old actors in the series they played. However, they do age out and hard for them to fit into the roles they were good at, mostly school drama. There's always a line at the door of new actors waiting their turn. Many of them turn out to be just as good or better than the one's that moved on.

It got really popular and other people who never watched anything like bl(sokeone like me)was fascinated by watching 2gether cuz it was something different but after watching so many bls now I can say that 2gether was not really good there are other wonderful bl actors and bl series which are far more better and have good story lines fantastic acting

It would be interesting to know how these BL dramas affect the actresses, as some of them are in several BL dramas: do they get as popular as their male co-workers or has these dramas some type of a effect in their popularity one way or another? Just a thought. In my opinion it's a good thing that these actors branch out to different types of drama genres or to other fields altogether, because doing the same thing one after the another is going to get boring, no matter how much the plot has changed between the different dramas. And sometimes you can see when the actors have done one type of drama way too long, their acting hasn't evolved and they bring nothing new - everything stays the same, it becomes predictable, especially if the pairing has stayed the same for many dramas back to back. There are some dramas that I won't watch just because of the same pairing as I've had enough seeing the same pair over and over again, I feel like a change is in is order. Well, Off and Gun is an exception as they always bring something new in their dramas even though they've played each others love insterest for the umpteenth time, they've evolved their acting immensely.

I don't think GL has the same popularity as BL, because BL's target audience is straight women and I don't see straight women having an interest in seeing romance between two women, that's my obvious opinion.

No one wrote anything about p'saint suppapong. The most cutest actor. He went away from love by chance and had opportunity to work with other few series But not he is more quite?. Very sad that he had togo through extreme tough time with attractor manegement and from othet co actors. He was mistreated and tried to destroyed his carrier. Spme how he was able to manege with his own idole factory and other products. He is amazing actor.

Gulf and Mew miss them

It's just the fact that a lot of them are using BL as a stepping stone for their acting or idol career and it's ok though because if they are talented doesn't matter what genre the talent still shown. I'm happy for each of them that they are doing what they want and some of them are wise choices because they know how to focus on their strength. :) I like Khunpol (Bas) because he performed well in ITSAY as well as his character not really because he was in a BL show so I will miss seeing him on the screen as an actor :(

In my opinion, BW love scenes in the together series were quite awkward. They amassed huge popularity not because of a great storyline, great cinematography or strong acting skills but simply because BW have looks and GMMTV knew how to market them. All the skinships and fanservice in many BL fandoms created so much tension and toxicity. I eagerly wait for someone to hit the last nail in the coffin so that as fans we can finally move on. Any new BL fans out there, pl beware and take words, promises and declarations with great pinch of salt as credibility has been proven low. It is nothing but sheer commercialism 😑

I miss Can well Plan. Also Tin well Mean. They need a reunion.

Acting in BL series is usually just a stepping stone. Once they get famous and receive bigger offers, ofc they won't do another one.

I was really hoping for Saint to be in this video as well but I saw Gulf and Plan in here. Also if you're planning to watch Reminders I would definitely suggest watching Lovesick and Love By Chance (If you haven't already) because two of the characters (one of the main couples) are the main couple and the series are called reminders because basically they are showing what their relationship looks like 'now'. Also because it is a rather older BL and not steamy at all but I think it was so good.

Actors are just like employees in a corporate world they come and go. They sometimes use BL as a tool to gain popularity and some of them are just force to do it out of their will. Nevertheless, let us just respect their decisions and support those actors who are really true and supportive in portraying BL roles.

They are best friends and business partners. Each has their own company, but they also collaborate with each other a lot. I love their video of them singing "When You Say Nothing At all" in English. PP Krit is just did a collaboration with Troye Sivan. His video for Fireboy is super hot (pun intended).

Didn't God said something about only using BL as a stepping stone in the film industry? He also said that he''ll never do another BL unless he's too old and couldn't land anymore role. Yeah, he's homophobic. Ironic isn't it? A homophobic guy starring in a BL series.

This list didn't show Plan in Make it Right, one of the original school themed coming of age BL Dramas.

I miss Gulf! Such a sweet soul. The others I am ok not seeing

BK is a cut above. I wish him great fortune no matter what he explores.

Will miss Billkin. But can't see him paired with any other BL actor besides PP. ITSAY and IPYTM were such memorable series that it wiil be impossible for BillkinPP to do another BL series together. They will always been seen as the two lovers in the two series.

I didn't really knew that Nadao rebranded until today. Well that maybe explains as to why i dont hear any news of new series for the past 2 years coming from them. It's saddening for me. 😢 knowing the quality of work Nadao was able to produce, can't help but to wish they could keep producing more series. Some production houses these days are mere producing series for commercializing and selling. by that, they tend to forget to uphold the quality of the series they are producing. Quality is often than sometimes compromised. Back in the day, the industry in not saturated with series that are produced for commercialized mass consumption. You could literally watch every series that is released. But these days, while there are companies and series that stands out from the crowd, much is still produced under the taste of the public. I still yearn for a spin-off of Bas' story in ITSAY. 😭 I'm not yet over from his story. How could they shut his character off with that green flag of a man? 😭 Love his character ever!💖 Miss you Bas.💖

I missed Peak from Make it right, I would like to see him in a BL series

I really dont miss none of them acting in BL. I like seeing some acting in other things beside BL because it shows off their acting while they are playing certain characters that arent in BL series.

Hi, do you know what Saint is doing? After he started in a remake of a koran drama, I only saw him in drama as a guest appearance, so that's why I thought he would be on this list

Saint has become a producer himself. As far as I know, he was the one who produced Secret Crush On You. But sometimes, he appears as a side/supporting character in some BLs.

I think a lot of the actors probably succumb to peer or family pressure but their critics should remember that a lot of very famous actors appeared in gay, trans roles even after they were right at the top of their game, Robin Williams in Birdcage, Terence Stamp, Priscilla QotD and Partick Swayze To Wong Foo just to name three, of course there are a few thai actors (and I'm not going to name names) who I think should just get over themselves.

Saint was not in your list, have not seen him do any BLs recently. I am hoping to see him again in one. But I do enjoy watching his other shows. I just wish they would give him a strong show. Why R U I loved his character in that. It was a much better roll for him than the weak one he played in Love by Chance even though I loved him in that also. I really did like to see him as a strong character. Maybe a better way of saying that is I liked his much stronger confidence he had in Why R U.

I was a big fan of the 2nd season of LBC. With Saint gone though, it did leave something to be desired, but I thought the 2nd acting couple did a pretty good job. I liked the Can/Tin couple.

Gulf was an incredible actor.

I do miss Bright and Win and I can only seem to watch them when they act together like in F4 and their BL. I also miss Max and Tul.

There's absolutely no fault in leveraging the BL industry as a stepping stone toward fame and chasing your dreams; it's just one step in the journey. Frankly, I couldn't envision them paired with other actors. Type belongs to Tharn, Max belongs only with Tul, just as Gu Hai belongs to Bai Yu Lin. I'm incredibly grateful for the cherished memories and for bringing legendary characters to life.

Canada, it is ok , those superbe actors should not limited themself by doing just bl. They need to mouve on. Still love them.

I don't care if they use BL to kickstart their career (I get the hustle and is a good opportunity), as long they are good acting, respectful toward the genre, and not homophobic . I hate typecasting, because it prevent a lot of opportunity to grow as an actors. Personally I don't like seeing the same ML again and again, it get boring you know.

Do you know what exactly happened to Build from Kinnporsche? I know about this drama with the writer of the show and that he left the company apparently But what happened after that? Wasn’t there a lawsuit or smth? And will he continue acting?

I don’t think he can, cause his secret messages were leaked. He was so many nasty things about his cast mates even his partner Bible. He apologized but those things only made some people realize he wasn’t as innocent as he seems.

The only ones among those I miss in BL shows are Billkin (for me one of the best Thai actors) and Plan (one of the cutest).

Love by chance could have a really big hit like 2gether if only the writing of the story had been better. Honestly season 1 was so freaking good, it would have been better if Can and (I forgot his name) got together. But in Season 2, they made it too confusing. I did some research about the timeline, it makes no sense to me but apparently, you need to read the book to understand the plot. Like what the hell? Then why would I watch the drama, might as well just read. Also, the casting was shit. It could have been another great hit but I couldn't even watch the 1st episode all the way because of the confusing plot🤦‍♀️

Yes, he just graduated from Columbia University with his Master's in Real Estate Development. His family is in real estate and he is expected to take over the family business.

I'm happy for him. His roles in BL were such a great mix of sexy, funny and dramatic.

From what I’ve seen in the industry I think some people leave because the drama and intensity is too much. Both from toxic fans and industry insiders.

I miss the guys from addicted, max and tul, and lovesick but I completely understand why so people quit the way the fans did max girlfriend and the guy from addicted wife was crazy I hate the not respecting boundaries bit I'm a fan but it doesn't have to be a BL

Most of them using BL as a stepping stone into mainstream genre. It's their choice anyway. That's why we don't need to ship them too much.

I feel like sometimes they go in spurts.

Anyone seen anything God was in after 2Moons? His acting in that was, well, stiff. Everything about him was stiff, even the way he walks. But he's so pretty on screen I don't mind it half the time.Still curious though. Has his acting skill grown after?

Bright/Win were supposed to be the first big BL couple, so sad that they chose to turn their backs on their fan base. Maybe they will become famous in mainstream media. They really weren't much of a couple compared to what we see in today's BL storylines.

I miss BrightWin. I started liking BL dramas coz of them. 😪😪😪

Didn't surprised about Godt bcs when I watched the 2 Moon series the 1st time, I see no chemistry between the 2 main character + he gives off such a strong straight guy, that it made the acting pretty much awkward & cringe to me. I didn't get to finish the entire series bcs I cringed so bad back then
