Why not use Australian words? Nappies/poo?

  • @EmmaHubbard

@@ChumpyChicken2 My audience is from all over the world, so I try to use words that everyone understands / can relate to. Australians and Kiwi's know what nappies means, but when I use those terms there are lots of Americans, Europeans, and others who have no idea what it means. On the other hand, the vast majority, including Australians, understand the term diaper etc. so I use those to make my videos easier to consume for that global audience 🙂

One of the most useful advices someone gave me about babies is to buy sleepsuits with zipper and avoid buttons. It can be very hard to button the sleepsuits because babies tend to move a lot . It's even harder in the middle of the night if you have to change their diapper and you are half asleeped

a great tip we used at the beginning when our baby was younger and cried during bathtimes, was wrapping him in a light cloth which if I understand correctly helps him regulate the changes of sensations and cope with it more easily. Nowadays at almost 10 months, bath time is one of the highlights of his day! :)

Hi Jessie! You could try different dummies but for some children they just don't like the dummy and will refuse to take it. Which is ok - it just makes travelling in the car a little more tricky if they are awake and screaming! My little one refused the dummy- no matter how much I tried.

That can be tricky. Swapping up the bath toys regularly can help to keep them in the bath. Otherwise I recommend telling him what to do rather than no what to do. So you would sat "Sit down" and then help him sit down and praise him when he does.

There may be more than one chemical in it that does that but just the warning, please don’t use this. When you look it up online, the warning is right on the info about it.
