I'm also in NJ and agree. There is rarely a reason for me go in those stores. WAWA in South Jersey is a much better choice. The history of 7ELEVEN is also interesting, I'll let you research it. ;-))

It's always interesting to see the level of effort that companies will go to to learn more about how their customers behave and how well they respond to marketing and advertising campaigns. However, the one thing I don't understand is why they don't simply just ask them? Companies could learn so much more about what consumers like and don't like by frequently hosting paid focus groups. What companies consistently miss and fail to understand is that customers WANT to tell them what they are doing right and wrong. The WANT to help companies refine and improve their business models. However, most companies simply never give them the chance to do that. And, when customers do take the time to do that by contacting the company or sending them feedback by way of e-mail, that feedback is rarely if ever actually listened to or taken into consideration by the company. Why? Your customers will gladly tell you absolutely everything you need to know to dramatically improve your business and its operations across the board. They will even tell you how to beat your competition. All you have to do is to ask - and then actually be willing to listen.

Of course they ask....have you never been asked to participate to a survey?

@@Krynale right, but I'm talking about full-on, two to three-hour long, paid customer focus groups. You can get so much more out of people in one of those than you'll ever actually get out of just a simple survey done over the web. Companies should be doing SO much more of these than they are today. Also, companies need to be involving customers much earlier on in their design, development and beta testing programs. They would be producing and releasing FAR better products if they did. When are companies finally going to clue into this? No one knows more about how to actually improve your products than those that literally use them every single day. LISTEN TO THEM!!!

@@shivamarya5225 if you are going to ask people for several hours of their time and you want their feedback and honest thoughts/opinions you had better be willing to pay them for that or at least give them some form of compensation for their time and effort.
