I suffered with severe acne in my teens to early twenties. The most irritating thing was the unsolicited advice I would get from people & the intrusive questions. Also, I’m the most imperfect I’ve been - I’ve gained weight cause I’ve grown into my grown woman body after 25 , I have cellulite, I have hyperpigmentation in some areas, I use to have a flat tummy/abs not anymore. But I’m the most beautiful & sexy ever felt. When you get closer to 30 a lot doesn’t matter anymore. You realise it’s silly things you were insecure about. There are more pressing issues to be concerned about than how you look - and in most cases , you are made perfect in God’s image. 💛✨

I honestly agree with you when you say we need to start by loving ourselves. And self-love starts within. If we are able to look within ourselves, it becomes easy to love, even our outta parts of our bodies. Like our skin, body size, dimples on the thighs, etc. No one can build you, like yourself, because people tend to want to project how they feel if they see that you have issues with how you look. I also experienced adult acne when I got off the pill, I was so insecure and embarrassed and what led to that was people commenting whenever I would go out so I either resorted to staying indoors or putting makeup however I learned to just let go and embrace myself and now my skin is so much better.
