She could've put the older one down and grabbed the younger one and ran holding the older ones hand and carried the other one. In just one trip.

My younger sister was even smarter: Three guys tried to grab her and her friend after kindergarden (she literally was just a 5 minute walk from home). She grabbed her friend, memorized the cars number plate and ran to the next corner screaming on top of her lungs "fire!". The guys in the car obviously took off, but the police was able to check on the number plate. Turned out the driver was known to the police because of kidnapping. He got arrested and my sister was allowed to have as much ice cream as she could eat that day :D.

Once when I was 8, my sister and I went together into a bathroom at a Sonic while our mom stayed in the car, parked directly outside the restroom entrance. My sister and I were the only ones in the bathroom so, being kids, we started playing and making faces in the mirror. A few minutes later we here our mom honk the car corn like 3 times before just LAYING on the horn and SHOUTING something. We think she's telling us to hurry up because we are taking too long so we head out. I had NEVER heard my mom raise her voice before so I'm thinking I must be in trouble for playing in the bathroom. So when we get back in the car I start to apologize for making her wait. Then she locks eyes with me in the rearview mirror and says, "No baby, I wasn't honking at ya'll. I was yelling at a man who tried to walk in there after you" Apparently a man I didn't notice had been in his car a few spaces from my mom when my sister and I went into the bathroom. After we were in there a minute or two, he walked up to the bathroom and started to go in when our mom raised hell, getting other people's attention and the man got back in his car and left. Now I'm in my 20s but ever since then I cant help but check over my shoulder when I go to a bathroom to see if I'm being followed.

If you knew the scene in question it'd creep you out even more. It comes at a moment in the series where Elliot finally steps into the lives he is manipulating. He blackmails someone to their face, in a power move meant to empower the underdog outlier character. If you'll notice the burglar had his hoodie up just like Elliot.
