Do contemporary musicians still use those italian designations?

So Allegretto means Fairly Quick+Lively and poco means little and rall means gradually get slower so poco rall must means go a tiny bit slower. So At the start he wants us to go Fairly quick + lively then he wants it to go a little bit slower and then gradually get slower until the last note. Is that right?
