Always had trouble with essays so deep searching but thanks for these tips was very helpful 👍👍.
I have problem coming up with stories that tell a deeper meaning. A lot of the stories that I have shows basic ideas of encouragement, creative thinking to solve obstacles or practicing to become better. I don't know how to come up with a story that tells deeper values that colleges might look for. Do you have any tips for this?
Should these essays be "your own voice" (like college applications) or should they be serious?

It depends. You do want to maintain some decorum - but you also don't want to sound too formal and stilted. Go more towards your own voice (but professional).
