The Def Jam games had the No Mercy game engine plus the follow up to Wcw Mayhem was Wcw Backstage Assault and that game engine was then given to the Legends of Wrestling games and now The Wrestling Code so do the research better dude

WCW 2000 and any additional TNA games. Honestly though I'd be all for a Smackdown 2 remaster - peak roster and with today's visuals it'd awesome!

For me it would've been WWE Brawl.

TNA Impact 2 would have been great, the first game already had a unique gameplay features like being able to hit a dropkick mid animation as your opponent dived off to the top rope as well having collision detection in multi man matches, I think with new match types, more moves and a bigger roster, the sequel would have been a real hit!

It would’ve been interesting to play 2K21 but I’m glad that 2K skipped a couple of years and gave us 2K22 after that HORRIBLE game called 2K20

Honestly a 3D fighting game similar to Tekken and MK could work with a WWE licence. They could work with wrestlers to design larger than life versions of the characters.

There was also plans for a sequel to WWE All-Stars. There was gonna be new modes & features, like table matches & character specific moves based on their gimmicks.

I was pumped for WCW 2000 back then. Remembered as a kid, while scanning gaming magazines, the articles and screenshots were convincing. Sadly, WCW was purchased by WWE and this was the nail in the coffin.

It is incredible that today TNA's Kurt Angle still looks better than the current 2K models....

I'm glad it happened.

According to me, After WWE's 2K23, Minimum it will take next 30 years for the wwe games developers and makers to make the last WWE best game, or Maximum it will take next 40 years for the wwe games developers and makers to make the last WWE best game, so they can start making the remakes of the old games to earn more money and give the fans the games we always wanted.

I would have loved to see WWE Titans get released. I’m a big fan of Next Level Games, they’ve made some of my favourite Nintendo Games (Mario Strikers Charged Football and Punch Out) so I would have loved to see there take on a Wrestling Game.

Wonder If TNA 2 Was Gonna FT The Knockouts

I do remember Tatanka talking about a street fighter -esque game he was supposed to be in during a local show in 2011. Not sure what game exactly it was as he wouldn't say/probably didn't know himself exactly the name.

I was so excited to Play SVR Online as a kid. It looked like SVR 2010 but had unique Details.

Don't forget All Stars 2 was in production before they ended up cancelling it.

Cancelling WWE 2k21 was the greatest move they ever made!

WWE 2K24 collectors edition

There was also a game I was looking forward to at the time for ICW out of the UK but that also got canceled

I never see anyone talk about the cancelled ports for the updated version of wrestlefest. It had a lot of potential.

The biggest disappointment out of all these options? SVR ONLINE! From the way they described that, mann!!! They could've kept that game up n running for years similar to Fortnite, only for wwe fans instead. Also, AEW's "Stadium Stampede" is similar to that Online mode. If you pause at those abilities and read them, it sounds spot on with what AEW is doing now.

It always hurts to watch videos like these. Just imagining what could have been and how fun some of these games would have been as a kid.

People like say 2K20s the worse but they play 22 and 23 and those games have alot of the same issues as 20 people literally be blinded by graphics. Thats the only reason I can think to why they praise these games . But the difference between those two and 20. Those games suck gameplay wise 2k20, didn't if 2k20 had been patched it would be been a good game and better than 22 n 23 but 2K19 still the best 👌

WWF Backlash for N64 was another one cancelled. Due to the N64 becoming obsolete & Yukes replaces AKI.

There was a mobile game like WWE Brawl I forgot what it was called but it was fun to play.

That's was disaster for wwe2k20 games, same tragedy as nascar 21 ignition as many technical problems issues like bug and glitches, i think the problems for developers for develop the gameplay for wwe2k20 was during pandemic covid-19 desease, the game of wwe2k20 was not bad at all but lacking and decent gameplay during bugs and glitches appeared during game development on their making, im really sorry what happened to wwe2k 20, it was also pain for real life for wrestling games

Wishnowski asked Keel why a sequel was never developed by AKI, with Keel responding that corporate issues, including AKI not wanting to work on any Nintendo systems in favour of the PlayStation systems following WWF No Mercy, as well as THQ committing towards a relationship with Yukes. Additionally, a Facebook comment from Keel discussing the podcast fully confirms WWF Backlash never existed, as he stated that THQ did not plan any further N64 or AKI titles following WWF No Mercy, as AKI was set to work with EA to make Def Jam Vendetta for GameCube and PlayStation 2."

WWE 2k19 was the best wrestling game under 2k gameplay wise

(WWE titans parts unknown) I will forever wonder what that would have been life and it was right in the perfect time for that 2004 was one of the last great years in WWE and then you know how many classic video games came out in 2004, Damn.

I'm genuinely curious about your 2k22 opinion. Me personally, I think 2k19 is the best iteration of the 2k franchise and the newer titles have not been able to live up to it. 2k22 cut out an insane amount of additions: squash matches, roll out mechanics, opponents selling moves, Universe Promos, In-Game wrestler portraits so your CAW didn't look out of place, Advanced entrances, Online Entrances, and a whole slew of other content/mechanics(Not to mention the flop of a storyline compared to Buzz's.) I guess I just have a hard time believing 2k22 is the best in the franchise when it's only success was not being as bad as 2k20 which is a low bar to clear

You forgot the biggest sin of 2k22, which still hasn't been corrected. The removal of Quick Grapple mechanic. Everywhere i look, i see people complaining about having to do a lock up every time they want to do a move. Every match is a slog to get through now.
