Thats because you are supposed to capture the frog with Mario costume

So you CAN jump over that second ledge in Bonneton in the frog level. Incredible, I have been attempting it for a few days now, but it's that little split-second interaction with the wall that makes all the difference. Hats off to you (Just realized the pun that could've been made there, but, uh, no, not intended) Anyway, that roll cancel skip further cements my theory how the speedier and the momentum based physics in this game seems to be Nintendo hinting to Sonic Team how to make a good and proper 3D Sonic Team. The most obvious being the rolling mechanic and all Mario naturally reacts to hills, the rocket flowers, the emphasis on hills and inclines, coin rings, treading the water's surface, and probably more little things. I swear, if Nintendo would've brought in a stage with a loop, with the use of a rocket flower, Mario would've made it no doubt in this game, and with FULL steering control. Oh and the roll cancel skip--eh, bit of a stretch--references the spin dash skip in some of the earlier 3D Sonic games. From what I can tell from footage since I've never actually played any of the games, only the Boost Formula and y'know, the story book games or whatever the heck those were. Anyway, end of my little spiel. As always, great content Beard Bear, thank you for an enjoyable time.

Nope. First Moon Skip saves 24 seconds over collecting the first moon In All Unique Moons runs, roll cancel clipping into the inverted pyramid and beating Harriet first is faster because at night Sand, the spark pylon will connect to the tower story moon and the moon shard story moon is just there. In World Peace runs, you can skip two story moons and save 2 minutes Dino Skip enables you to bounce all the way to the boss fight platform and skipping the 2D section, saving about 30 seconds Klepto Skip, well Klepto won’t steal your hat, thus skipping the Klepto stealing your hat cutscene and you’ll not have to save your hat The Snow Kingdom roll cancel clip for world peace runs, you can go straight to Bound Bowl without going into any of the rooms required to open the gate thingy. In All Unique Moons runs, after collecting the Bound Bowl multi moon, in the room where you fight Rango, Rango will not be there, thus you can collect the moon without fighting Rango Moon cave skip, well you skip the moon cave, saving 5 minutes over going to the moon cave Annnd there’s much more skips in this game that saves time

Tem Not true. Zinpars who is placed 76th on the leaderboard found Roll Cancel Clip. And you forgot Moon Skip. ;)

But you can use the First powermoon skip in every version, only at annother spot

There is actually a another way to skip the klepto trigger that is easier, but slower. Run to the bridge across the poison. Than ground pound jump onto the other tree and jump to the tree holding the cage. Jump from the cage, bounce off you cap, and land on the platform.

You should speedrun this game, you look really good at it.

You can skip some bosses I’ve skipped some but not all here a list of the ones I’ve not done so far Torkdrift and The seaside kingdom boss Lake kingdom brondala boss and that all so far Also when you defeat brondalas there not suppose to be on the ship but he was I think that a glitch

Asra - ya there's three "modes." Tabletop, which takes advantage of the kickstand and you can keep the switch on the tablet. Tablet mode and TV mode are very self-explanatory. Ya it can get confusing

Try to take shortcuts, skip some parts of the circuit, don’t go in the snow because that slow you down. Jump at the exact time you hit the ground to get some speed.

Stop at 9:44 where I do the first wall jump. You can see a "L" on the wall. This is the visual cue speedrunners use to perform the Moon Skip.
