Ok I'd love to correct the information you have in this video if you'd like some notes on polespears and which are good. First off, Scuba choice should be avoided at all costs. The VAST majority of the diving industry uses 6mm and 7mm threading for spears. This means that all of the possible tips and replacement parts are based around 6 and 7mm threads. Scuba choice, which is actually Palantic gear, uses 8mm. They do this because their manufacturing quality is extremely poor and the larger size makes up for weaker metal. Palantic gear has an extremely bad reputation for arriving non functional from the factory. Example of that was a customer bought 2 full regulator sets online and came to my shop asking to have them put together. Well 3 of the 8 hoses leaked from crimp points, meaning not worth repairing, and none of the 2nd stages were properly tuned from the factory. All had freeflows. It's mass produced gear with extremely poor quality control. Your cheap choice should be Trident. The build quality is a hair better for the same price, they use 6mm threads, AND they have movable grips to help new users with hand placement and reduce fatigue. A step up from Trident would be Cressi, worth taking a look at as well. For high end you got it right though with the JBL carbon fiber Shaka. The JBL is absolutely the best seller through my shop for anyone serious about spearing.
