    I own one that is 310 H.P. I had triples on it for a while but the planetary bearings didn't take the prying action to well so I went back to duels. I actually had another one that I used for a while and then we sold it to a neighbor and then bought the one I have now. We had a sale for another one pending when Knudson got into financial difficulty so that deal never was completed. The Almond bro. Rode around the field on mine first and asked me a lot of question's on my opinion of what I though about the tractor and about what changes would improve it. They then bought out the manufacturing rite's and they started building the Yellow ones.

    @@a.lavernefilan1888 this is farming history, I love the Knudson! The Germans have the MB Track (built by mercedes ), it's very tall and bulky and has portal axles, it is possibly the most capable all rounder you can get in Europe, but it's underpowered, in my opinion ... The Knudsen ist technically much more sophisticated , more capable and more rugged! Lucky you to own one !

    Jerome Knudson was out in Washington State trying to promote his tractor and he saw a traveling sprinkler that my dad and I built that had a four way leveling device on the engine, booster pump and Nelson big gun sprinkler and Jerome got the idea to put a leveling device on to a tractor. We owned one of the self leveling tractor's for a while then sold it to a neighbor and bought another one. We put triples on it for a while but the planetary bearings didn't handle it to well so we went back to duels. We had a sale for another leveling tractor but Jerome got into financial distress and couldn't deliver. The Almond Bro. Rode around on our tractor with me and asked me a lot of questions about my opinion's of the tractor and I told them about the planetary weakness when we had triples on it. They bought out the manufacturing rite's and started building the Yellow one's. That's my history am I'm sticking to it.

I got the damn thing stuck once and and after finally getting it out of the bog that sunk it I ran across another soft spot and was the only time I got past 2300rpm. I didn't care if it was loud or if I threw a rod to the moon I just wasn't getting stuck again. You know you have hit a mess when you get a backhoe stuck. 0:31 pretty sure its a 6-71 by the 6 exhaust ports on the manifold the on screen info says its a 6v-71 (6-71 is straight 6, 6v-71 is v6) tho, it could be a 12v-71 with the 6 port manifold too, but the muffler position suggests its just the straight 6

  • @ronfrance4041

    @ronfrance4041

    4 жыл бұрын

    Bill Hill it is not called a supercharger on a Detroit, it’s called a blower and it is used to forced gases out of the cylinder and provide new air, where as a supercharger would charge the cylinder. Same device two different uses. Detroit’s require cylinder scavenging in order to run, therefor Detroit calls any engine without a Turbo, naturally aspirated even though it has a blower.
