Thank you for this video. I have recently got my very first pure breed dog, Charlotte (Charlie) my now 12 week old all black gs. I’m completely in love with her and your advice about when not praise makes complete sense. I’ve only had rescue mixed breed border collie x NZ hunterway x shepherd x lab type dogs in the past and they’re a breeze as puppies to train in comparison but I’m Charlie’s Mummy now and she needs me. We are All in this Blk GSD club! I am also a lucky one to have a pup 9 wks old. He's a Old Soul for sure . This is one bond that will make my life better, his name is. Beau. ✌️💗

Think it through!! They get big. If you ain’t in it commitment wise leave it for someone who is truly deserving. It ain’t fair to the dogs. These pups ain’t Christmas presents!!! They may be in your life for a bit, but you’re the one who’s gonna be in all of their life.

I have 2 black shperds it never gets old with those 2 around❤❤❤

Our black GSD Maggie is constantly mistaken for a black Timber Wolf! I like that! Excellent advice for training a black GS puppy! Maggie is my current favorite...d..o..g. ( just in case the other two dogs can read) Border Collie, Bernese Mountain dog.

Thank you for your advice on Black German Shepherds because they are quite amazing breeds and yes they are quite intelligent and pick up quick I'm very happy with Venus she has been quite a companion and to my wife who gave me her as a companion and to keep me busy she is quite a challenge I had her since she was 3 months old as senior citizen this will be last run and I am enjoying every moment of it with my wife and Venus my Black 🖤 German Shepherd

We got our black gsd, Nina, about a year ago. My wife and I have had to get on the same page as far as training goes

For all dog owners don’t purchase a dog to give away. It’s a commitment.

Sounds like Caesar Milan principle of training.

Is there a difference in behavior ( or cognitive development) between a standard GS and Black GS? I'm assuming they're the same. Thanks.

Very similar! I think Rotts are a little less intense. May make them easier to train. More laid back then GS

I just got a 2 year old almost all black German shepherd. He got a kind of white spot on his chest. Should I treat him differently?

Like there is a difference between Black, White, Black & Tan, etc.!
