the only disadvantage of mini poodle: they have enormous amounts of energy. it is hard to keep up.. AND they are so cute, you just can’t say no to them! 😊

And the grooming requirements. I'm actually not fond of their looks -- aesthetically I am not attracted to the curly-coat look, regardless of clip, and I'm not big on "cutesy" dogs in general -- but I have decided if I get another dog after our current one is gone, it will be a miniature poodle, or possibly a poodle mix, due to size, trainability and low shedding. Those are way more important than having a dog I personally find pretty. I am allergic to dogs, and have lived with a series of high-shedding, long-haired, double-coated dogs. After living for 30+ years with three quick learners -- a Sheltie, a golden retriever mix, and our current aging German shepherd mix -- I want another dog eager and quick to learn. The only other breed I would consider at this point in my life is a miniature schnauzer, for similar reaons.

I had the most gentle bestfriend/soulmate. When I looked into your eyes, I truly disagree on what people say that animals don't have souls, because you deserve a soul more than I do. You listened to me even though I didn't train you to listen. Now that you are no longer with us, I truly miss you in every fiber of my being and I regret that I didn't go beyond what I could do to show you my appreciation regarding your gentleness, being lovable and very easy to take care of. I dreamed about you crossing over in my arms while I comfort you, but you passed away in a hospital without us by your side. Still haunts me to this day. We love you so much and I will forever cherish you. Thank you for inspiring me to be stong and continue to move on, just like what you did in the hospital. Run free my baby, brother, bestfriend, son and soulmate.

I love my mini poodle so much. She goes out to eat with us and sits quietly. She is 4 years old and we can take Emily every where. Her favorite is hiking off leash for miles ,playing fetch and going out to eat in a dog friendly cafe.

I'm a Poodle convert. Love my curly haired babies to the moon and back

Oh give me a break with that crap.

I have a poodle mix. I found her in the street (I live in Mexico) and she is such a good girl. She is super smart and she adapts to living in a smaller space, going out for walks or staying in on rainy days. She is such a great great pup.

Only coin is the energy. Get a toy if undecided. But get the size that fits your needs but get a poodle. You'll never regret it. 25 years with mini, toy and at 76 y.o. another mini poodle! After your first poodle you'll always be owned by a poodle!

I love my mini poodle! He’s almost 5 months 🥹

Mine is very loving,the toilet training through the night was very painless,unfortunately the barking and separation anxiety is quite bad😢my neighbour came to tell me.He is still quite mouthy at 11 months and will nip any part of my body.He is very funny though,he had his a dog sausage between my bedsheets🤣

Poodles are bright and alert dogs so they will bark occasionally, but they are not constant yappers.

Misleading. The title should be for Poodles in general, not just mini poodles. Same traits as toy poodles.
