I have 95 active items on Poshmark and I make $1000 net monthly. My goal this year is 300 active items on eBay, Mercary and Poshmark and $3000 in net monthly.

Found my first Jenni Kayne sweater! I didn't even know about the brand until I looked it up...sold for $75 which I was happy with. It was the everyday sweater. Now I will look for it! Always learning and I always learn so much from you! =)

Don't forget that it's not about the # of active listings it's how many are selling. You can have a store of just 500 items and make more than me.

Also can you do a video on your picture taking and Photo Booth. I’m struggling figuring out my lighting situation so my pictures turn out sub par

i wish i had a youtube channel because i just finally figured out my lighting and i'm happy with it and kinda wanna teach someone else. cayley uses the ambient overhead lighting in her office/warehouse and no special lights. there's a bunch of good videos online for how to build a flat-lay station. i finally switched to 6500K 105w lights using an overhead light bar with clip-ons and two large softboxes on the sides and it works great. good luck

I just use a command hook on a white wall. I use no additional lighting.

The Hanes tag is from the 50’s according to info I found. How Cool is that?!

I absolutely never use stock photos. It’s stealing and I don’t want that karma! But sometimes I really wish I could because on the hanger an item will just look so blah. I did use them when I first started and it took me SO LONG to list items because I was looking up stock photos for everything and then editing them to make them the correct size. 😂😂. I love selling Title 9 and Ali Miles! I just found an Ali Miles cardigan the other day I am excited to list… I usually only find their tunics. 🤗

I don't understand how it's "stealing" to use a stock photo? The brand makes the photos so you can see how they look on, you purchased the brand, so you should be able to show the image. It would be diff if you're using their photo & calling it a diff brand, like Shein, Temu & others of their kind do. That's what I considering "stealiing" & they're notorious for it. I do take my own photos especially on used items, but if I come across the stock image I will include it to show how it looks on, or if it's a color that I can't get the details to show up good on camera. Just my opinion. 🙂

@@astracey1 it’s stealing because the photo is not yours, you didn’t set up the photo shoot, pay for casting models, the makeup artists, or take the photos. Purchasing the item doesn’t give you the right to the model photos. It’s copyrighted and is considered copyright infringement. Companies do have the right to come after you and some will. That’s why platforms have policies against using them. eBay seemingly is the most strict about using them. It’s like plagiarism way back in school. Some people got away with doing it but it’s still stealing.

Nope, I sell both. I'd actually sell just mens if I could find enough of it. It's just easier to list and tends to sell faster.

Besides low views, how do you know when you've priced something too high, and how long do you wait before you drop the price?

I drop prices every month for anything that is 90 days or older. If an item has a str of 100% in 90 days and 90 days has passed then there is something wrong with the listing or the price needs dropped.

How do you know if it sold internationally?

A buyer can add multiple items to their cart and then checkout at once and it should combine shipping. However, if you want to offer them a discount for combined shipping then that is a promotion you would need to setup in your store first.

I feel the same way about stock photos - I only use them occasionally and usually only on Poshmark. Then you look at other resellers who use basically ONLY stock photos on every platform (cough cough mogi beth, etc) and there seems to be no issue or repercussions whatsoever. Does anyone have any actual stories of getting a listing taken down or any kind of strike because of stock photo use?

I got a listing removed on eBay for using a Vineyard Vines stock photo. I still use stock photos, but not as my main image. I always take my own photos and have those in listing first.

I have had numerous listings taken down from when I first started. Even on Posh and Mercari. I do not ever use them now. I would get mystery boxes and list things I shouldn’t. BIG no no is White House black market. 😂😂. I have had gymshark, WHBM, Soft Surroundings, Chico’s, and Nike listings removed.

Shhhhh...Aviator Nation was my secret lol 😂
