    As always very instructive videos, thank you, learned a lot. Btw, I watched your video on STR, would like to ask for your opinion based on your clothing selling experience: If I am looking for men's golf polo shirts for example, to sell and do research as you have shown on the STR video (which is awesome btw), what STR should I be looking for? You mentioned its either over 100% or as close to 100%, how close to 100%, will it be at least 70% or higher? I do understand that the STR number is more of seller preference, each seller might have a different number in mind, its more for my understanding/education as a newbie. I would like to learn from the best. Again thank you very much, your Awesomeness.

    It is, like you said, each sellers decision. How quickly do you want to sell an item? 100% means it should sell within 90 days. Any less than that and you are looking at a longer time frame.

    Another great video-thank you! Question- I notice that you do not put style keywords in many listings, yet they are in your ebay descriptions-do you believe that perhaps Ebay can now read descriptions like Posh? Just wondering why style keywords would be left out of title. Thanks!

  • @cayleyelaine

    @cayleyelaine

    4 ай бұрын

    We will include those keywords in the title if we feel they should be prioritized over the other words. We are about to start changing the way we do titles because we have noticed a change in search. We may start including those in the titles more frequently.

    I found a Natural Life maxi dress at the bins 3 months ago, tried to sell it for $39, but it didn't sell until yesterday. I sold it to a liker for $24. I don't know why, but it was really hard to sell despite having more than 25 likers on Poshmark. It is interesting for people but no one wanted to buy it for asking price((

    Thank you for your informative videos! I have a question. When you source merchandise through other means (the companies that source from out of state), do you include that in your profit cost? I notice your buying costs are so low compared to where I live so I was just wondering how you can keep your buying costs so low if someone else is sourcing for you. In average, how much extra do you usually pay per item for their service? Thanks!!

  • @cayleyelaine

    @cayleyelaine

    4 ай бұрын

    Hello! I do include that in my cost. The estimated cogs that I show on the what sold videos is an estimation using what I pay on average. When I do bookkeeping I use my actual numbers. My cost varies depending on wholesaler and the types of items they sell to me. I pay anywhere from $3-$8 on average. I've also paid up for higher valued items as much as $50. My cogs stay relatively reasonable.

    Hi Cayley. For the Kitteny top - you mentioned you found more info on PM and the STR was good. To clarify, did you still do STR on eBay? Bc I don't know how to truly determine STR on PM. Thanks!

  • @cayleyelaine

    @cayleyelaine

    4 ай бұрын

    Yes! I normally only do comps on ebay but occasionally if there's not a lot of info on ebay and I have a hunch I'll look it up on poshmark because they hold solds for a really long time. Usually if it's a more rare brand like this one there aren't many results to count and figure out str on poshmark so it it's pretty easy to determine still.

    As someone that has been a reseller for almost 5 yrs and has watched close to 1,000 hrs of reselling videos honestly I’m so tired of the resellers making videos like this. She definitely isn’t the only one making them. She states in the intro that she does this to give out bolos and to keep track of what SHE has sold. She could easily keep track in her seller dashboard w/out making a video. I think that her & others real reason is NOT to “help and guide” other resellers but simply to brag,flex, & show off what they have sold. How does reading off a list of what you sold (and not even stating what u paid for it) help anyone? You can give out bolos without interjecting what yours sold for.

  • @cayleyelaine

    @cayleyelaine

    In the kindest way possible, I don't think you actually heard what I said. I said that I like making these videos because it helps me keep track of my sales and how changes I've made in my business have impacted my sales. Not keep track of each individual item selling. Truth be told, it would be much easier for me to not make these videos. It takes me hours to prep the info, record, and edit this for you. BUT I do believe What Sold videos (if you are going to consume reseller content) are the most helpful. Because it's what actually sold and not just what someone tells you will sell. A BOLO video is great, but a what sold video is better, because I can explain how I listed an item, the keywords I used, how I priced it, and how long it took to sell. All of that is from my actual experience and not a brand I hope to sell but have never found. I hope you will reconsider your perspective.

    @@cayleyelaineyou are so right! What sold are the best videos and I love playing them in the background while I work. There is another seller that I used to really enjoy but I began to realize all of the videos were thrift with me or bolo lists but from their public eBay and posh sold information they weren’t even selling hardly anything! And they never did sold videos to prove that everything they said in their other videos were even true. I have toned back on watching their content for that reason. And a big reason I watch every release of yours! Your info is backed up solidly.

  • @Lillgodessgoods

    I still disagree because every single 2nd hand store and yard sale in every state has widely different items for sale on a daily basis. With that being said the chances of someone finding and then selling the same items that you go so in-depth about selling are pretty small. Thus that is why it’s just my opinion that creators that present content that doesn’t read off a detailed list of what THEY sold and instead give bolos,talk about shipping,where to source,how to list,keywords,promoting etc..is entirely more helpful. But that IS what is so awesome about KZread anyone can make vids about anything.
