6x7 Bull Elk Trips on Fence and Dies

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

This amazing bull elk - 6x7 - tripped on a fence, planted its brow tines into the ground, flipped over, and embedded its antlers in the ground. It struggled to get free, and I could not free it. It broke its neck, and died within a few minutes of falling. It's amazing that I saw it happen, but even more remarkable that I caught it on video.

Same here...notice the driver even shut the truck off so as to mitigate any higher potential to spook the herd. Mighty sad thing to see such a beautiful animal cut down in his prime by a stupid fence. Bulls of his caliber are getting harder to find on public land. Especially on otc tags. I love seeing the old bulls...knowing I may never get the chance to have one, but I still saw him...minding his own business...eating his grass on his hill, on his mountain, in his home...undisturbed by any man save those few who try to take his life in order to feed his family. Most fail, because the old bulls are slippery, and it takes a man more desperate and patient to take his life, than the old bulls desire to live. Such men are hard to find, but are worth their salt in any project in life.
