"The Song in Your Heart" - In flashback, Snow and Charming make a special wish that Emma will be protected. The result of their wish has the whole kingdom bursting into song which infuriates the Evil Queen. Meanwhile in Storybrooke, the Black Fairy announces her plans to unleash another curse on the town while Emma and Hook prepare for their wedding, on "Once Upon a Time," SUNDAY, MAY 7 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.

I love how all the musical numbers were of the people who loved her and whose songs were in her hearts. And then Zelena.

I will die on the hill that this was because Rebecca Mader was actually a pretty solid singer, more so than some of the more important female cast members (*ahem * Lana Parrilla and Ginnifer Goodwin) so they gave her a wholeass solo 😂
I think it is so beautiful that she really wasn't alone growing up :)

before watching this scene for real, I thought someone else is singing in Jennifer Morrison's place😂but no, it was really her and god, how much her voice changes while singing, it's barely recognizable😄and the thing I loved most about this scene, was Emma's hairstyle😍😍😍

Black Fairy underestimated Emma n the gift she was given by her parents😂 powerful 💪🏻

There’s probably some in there (there always is) but I think it’s more so that she’s just not a very strong singer. Not a bad singer pitch-wise (I saw a clip of her singing in something else and she sounded like this), but not very strong, mostly head voice and struggling to do more belt-y notes There’s a vocal coach here on youtube that reacted to this episode and she has a really good breakdown of what everyone is doing vocally!
