No one else could play Emma and Killian and their beutiful love story the way Jennifer and Colin do. Their are always brilliant, making me laugh, making me cry (like in this scene). I love their characters, their love and both of them as the wonderful actors they are.

in the show's history, we only see killian cry three times: this, liam's death, and liam letting go of his hand. that's how you know how painful this must be for him, to have finally gotten the confirmation of True Love, only to lose her minutes later.

This scene still makes me absolutely bawl my eyes out. So exquisitely acted, the way Killian holds her face at the end and the grab for the hand seriously kills me!

This felt like a genuine goodbye, I honestly thought they were never going to be together, how did I survive?

Did you know most of this scene wasn't scripted. This just shows how AMAZING the actors are. The holding hands The tear on Colin's cheek The "I love you I love you too" ALL WERE THEIR IMPROF

Colin & Jen were brilliant, we are so lucky to have them play our exquisite CS. When I saw the tears from Killian's beautiful eyes I totally lost it & when he kisses her hand - it was too much. I love that Killian yet again showed what a true hero he is, always putting Emma first. Killian is not a quitter of course he would want his beloved Emma safe back home doesn't mean he can't keep fighting to get back to her, just like Emma never listens and is impossible he can do the same. After all, death can not stop true love it can only delay it for a while. I just wish the writers would let us have one totally happy CS ep. Can't wait for the reunion

The extra hand holding and hand kiss (I believe hand kiss) wasn’t scripted. Adam the writer even tweeted about it.

This is probably the literal worst hell I’ve been through with any of my ships! This scene still makes me cry and breaks my heart

people asking why they did it and it's probably to show that they love each other so much that they're willing to let each other go. now THAT's True Love.

This scene broke my heart and it made me cry a lot. Especially the hand holding and Killian trying to keep a hold of her hand 😭😘

The bit that really got me was when in 1:14 they hug and then afterwards you see Killian crying into Emma’s hair. It killed me. 😭😭

I cry every time time. And I just learned(yes I’m slow) that Colin improvised that hand kissing and grasping scene as she’s going up. And he was right to do it and it was right to leave it in the episode. It made it more impactful. I cry every goddamn time!

Yeah it was 3 am when he did that. He and Jen have the best improvising. Colin said it came naturally to him and he was super emotional at 3 am

Do you know what kills me the most in this scene? Is that Killian is crying the whole scene. And when I see his tears, it rips my heart out everytime. I put myselg wondering how painfull must be you say goodbye knowing that is probably the last time you see your true love, touch, kiss... Colin and Jen were great in this scene...

it's the most painful when emma says that he should move on because if he was planning to stay and wait for her then technically they could've seen each other again, but her saying that solidifies that this was really goodbye

@@edenn8452 true. And he saying to her not put her armor back on just because shw lost him. She wanted her to live without him and find another one, even both of them knowing they were the true love of each another. This scene is so painfull... but I love it!

I swear to god I've watched this at least five times and I cry every single one. The floodgate opens when Killy starts crying, I can't help it.

GAWD This is so heartbreakingly beautiful and I'm STILL not over it. We are so blessed to have Jen and Colin, these two amazing individuals playing these characters, they definitely delivered one of their best performances here.

Literally after watching this I couldn't continue the show. I just stopped watching. Then a few months later someone told me that he DOES come back again, and I can't even begin to describe how happy I was.

Their chemistry is absolutely amazing and I've yet to see anything on TV like it since

Apparently they filmed this scene quite late and Colin almost started crying seeing Jen cry so much ✋😭

This scene was so emotional and fantastic, they did an absolute good job. Jennifer and Collon looked inlove with each other.

His face at 2:44 though 😭

2019 and this still makes me bawl. Such wonderful times when the show was airing, I miss these two so much!!!!

I wondered why they didn't wait to kiss one last time while the elevator Bar was a little farther down. And I just realized emma stopped it with her hand because she wasn't ready. And I just... 😭

When i first saw this, i started crying, and when im watching this a second and third time, im still crying, my heart is shattered

He mustn't rest in the Underworld! He's in the tournage of the final ! OUAT without CaptainSwan, it's impossible !💖 Hook is Emma's happy ending and Emma is Hook's happy ending, they are true love ! And Jennifer and Colin act so well 👌👏

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME WE'VE EVER SEEN KILLIAN CRY ON THIS SHOW. I CAN'T EVEN.

Actually, there is another scene in which Killian cries. I did not notice it at first but someone pointed it out. In the Season 3 finale when Emma and Killian go back in time and meet Snow and Charming, Snow is seemingly burned at the stake by Regina. Killian, Emma, Charming, and Red are high above the courtyard unable to stop Snow's "execution". Killian wraps his arms around Emma and sheds some tears. It is very quick , but he does cry while comforting Emma as she watches her mother "executed".

I'm crying until now

This scene almost killed me

Poor Emma and Poor Hook. Both of them so closed off, so used to losing the few people they ever allow themselves to love. And finally when they both open up and accept someone into their life, that they love, that they’re vulnerable with, again they are torn apart by death. The promise of eternity ripped away once more. The possibility of a lifetime of happiness together, or even a future, torn to shreds. So sad. Oh well.

This scene will never not destroy me, oh my god. D':

Killians actor actually wasn't supposed to cry when emma left him but Colin (hooks actor) ended up crying which makes the scene even sadder
