I love the fact you chose a short barrel, the low velocity tests are where it's at! Thank you!
Can’t wait to get my 6ARC AR build going. I’m especially interested in the 80-95gr offerings as they shoot a bit flatter than the +100gr rounds do in 100-500 yard distances with decent BC’s. I like the 90’s-95s the most as i feel they balance the best of both worlds.
My hunting bud uses this in a 243 WSSM at 3100 fps. Been a good deer round. Avg distance is about 50 yards. Exits maybe 50 % of the time. But does a lot of tissue damage. Deer expire pretty quick but sometimes make it 50 yards before falling over. He has never lodst a deer to this round and has one massive buck that fell to this round. Factory ammo is scarce so he bought 4 boxes to hold him over for 5+ years.
I wouldn't be afraid of using it in any of the 243/6mm offerings for whitetail.
You speak the truth regarding correlation between velocity and core separation, that was exactly my experience with the BallisticTip. Very very accurate in my 308, but for me anyway, not for hunting after experiencing delayed double lung expiration. At my hunting range’s and experience the bonded Swift Scirocco with over 2x expansion and 90% weight retention is a better lead core hunting bullet. The 150’s were a little finicky gaining the best accuracy out of my rifle though. I must say the humorous banter between you two is pretty funny, you guys must be good friends. Thanks guys for producing these videos. Looking forward to the five cartridge comparison.
Thank you very much for this. I’m looking for a dual purpose varmint/possible deer load for the 6 arc and I’ll give the nosler bt a try. Ive had great success on deer and black bear with a 270 150gr nosler ballistic tip but with the smaller calibers sometimes expansion is way to violent, doesn’t seem to be the case with the arc velocities
Sweet!
Great info. Would like to see the 85 grain leighigh defense controlled kahous .

We will add that to the list!
hey i am a big fan of you work was wondering if you could do a review of the new Remington core lokt tipped bullet in 270 or 308 would be nice to know if it holds together better than a ballistic tip

We've got the Pointed Soft Point Core Lokt's coming up in both 308 and 6.5 here soon, we haven't been able to source any of the tipped ones yet - but we're definitely going to! Thanks!
Speer Impact in 6.5 is just about to hit the market. It's a bonded VLD style much like the Bond strike from Norma. I would love to see it fired from the PRC at around 3100 fps.

Thanks for the info, we'll have to source some. We don't have a PRC unfortunately, but we can definitely run them in our Creedmoor, Thanks!
100g Partition would be awesome to see with 6ARC

I am curious as to what performance can be had with a 5.56/300 AAC case necked to a 6mm. I would have almost preferred it due to keeping the standard bolt.

Its called 6x45mm. Not a bad option as you just need the barrel. But with 6mmARC, I'll pass.
95gr LRX? When's that test coming???😂 0:18

I don't understand the logic behind this cartridge.
