I've been going through some pretty scary health issues and having tons of tests and appointments ordered. 5 appointments just in the last two weeks and 4 to go before the month ends. It's causing tons of anxiety, fear, and pain especially waiting for all these results. I have been marathoning all your videos randomly while waiting for new ones. The other day my husband came home and said to me without looking at what I was seeing, "Again...that lady again. You've been watching her a lot lately, huh?" I told him that your voice, your humor, your videos overall have been a comfort to me. I can't explain it. They are keeping me grounded in the now. They push back the anxiety and fear a little especially when I awake from pain at 3 a.m and can't go back to sleep. I can't do drama, I can't do flashy, I can't do extreme right now. I just need the right level of calm weirdness that mimics my own. 💗

Blessings💝 to you in this challenging time.
Back in the 70's, there was an absolutely massive Joshua Tree about a quarter mile from our property. This thing was about forty feet high, fifty feet around and filled with at least fifty limbs. God knows how long it stood there. When we had 100+ winds it collapsed. Also in the 70's, neighbor across the street was and 85 yo who had walked from Missouri to Lucerne Valley. He was a prospector and rockhound. Milton Welser, he lived in a house he built on the slopes of a mini-mountain and had built walls around from cut and polished gemstones. His bar-b-que was an amazing creation of bricks and gemstones. He once took me to I-40 out past Dagget and pulled off the freeway. He said there was a concentration of Agate in the area and walked around until he found one to show me. So, we spent the afternoon Agate hunting, came home with a tin bucket load that he polished into things he used to decorate his house.

That 1st hole you came to was a mine shaft. The metal grate is to keep people out but allows bat's to fly in and out. It would have been cool at sunset to see how many bat's came out.

Nice! I cant believe you went into that bunker but then, you're the greatest! Let the adventures continue!!!!
Ha, more of a classic Wonderhussy 'just-poking-around 'adventure this time around! I love it! :-)
Out in the desert I found a wise man sitting in a hole. I said oh wise man give me a piece of wisdom. He said, "May all your Hot Springs have Wonderhussy in them". History is fun.

Your comments on this one were so much fun! Thanks for making me laugh!
The Mudd Monkey post is a claim marker. Placer is small gold that settles in certain spots in stream beds as opposed to load gold which is embedded in rock. This is a very nice vlog. Have been in that desert many times training in the Army.
Nice wood and it wasn't even in the morning! Good find from knowhere, you Hussy. thank you ALL stay safe
Thx Wonderhussy . Desert exploration is my favorite thing to do. Your storytelling is fantastic.
Thanks again for taking us along, I really enjoyed it!
This is why I always watch your channel. You never know what she is going to do. Love it.
The Free app “Parceled” will show you all properly details. Saves time going to the county clerks office. Wonderful tool for land searching. Another great journey Wonderhussy!
All I need is my Cowboy VHS tapes and that’s all I need…and this can of beer and That’s All I Need !
Been a long time fan, and perhaps kindred spirit in many ways. Like you, I enjoy driving miles to the middle of nowhere to peer down abandoned mines. I have not figured out what it is about peering down dark pits, but it’s so addicting!
You're very intuitive about the feelings you have around places where you're investigating I'm disabled forty-seven-year-old guy that goes out there gold mining I had a body shop in Barstow for a few years but gold mining is my love of my life when I can do it I appreciate your videos cuz it feels like I'm out there next to you thanks keepsake out-there wonderhussy Wonder hussy
Love it, your imagination is priceless ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😎🤩😎🤩🤣
This is the first video of yours that I have watched and absolutely love your personality. Reminds me of myself rattling off random comments while exploring.
A friend took us around and we stopped there. There are other minds all around. Had markers. This was few years ago. Awesome!
i've found from past experience that most hussies don't wander, wonder hussy being an exception
Fun stuff Sneaky Lady, I loved the giant Joshua tree, you obviously like stopping and checking out what I like to. Vintage light bulbs too
You cracked me up with the precious moments collection! I could so see that! Haha 😄
Sarah, what a great adventure! And you going underground? Spooky! Thanks for another fun video!
You always find some really neat places! I love all the mysterious little nooks and crannies around there!
Another great interesting video. Keep up the great work 👍 Happy new year. Love & peace from Liverpool, England. 🙏💗 Xx
Wonderhussy, you never cease to amaze me. You got balls girl! Well, figuratively speaking. VERY brave of you to go into that cave. SUPER CREEPY! Glad you didn't find the evil spawn of Charles Manson inside. Guess if you had, we wouldn't know about it... Morbid! But also, super entertaining as always. So enjoy your channel and your adventures... your narration is the best!
That was so fun. The tree was amazing. The cave was so creepy and the day was just beautiful.💜
Lovely to see u again Mz Wonder ! Awesome finds, love to know how deep those holes go and why a few had massive metal covering them !! ???
Your guided tours of American cultural sites always have me in fits of giggles.
Those cabins, especially the second one would make great volunteer cabins!! Walls seem solid. No outhouse….could be remedied……the VHF tapes…perfect!! Stuff to read, the dictionary……would be nice to find out the side story to that area! So fun!!
Hope your mom is safe during this crazy weather the left coast is experiencing. Keep on making us smarter...we'll, laughing.
This video reminds me of the videos that you did back in the beginning glad to see you back near the areas when I first started watching you doing abandoned old trashed houses. The OLD miner was 79 lol yes that's old but only 8 years older than me. LOL its ok I clearly remember being your age and thinking I will never be OLD ( kidding) wow there was some writing in cursive next to graffiti in block letters shows the time difference I wonder if the kids that did the graffiti even know how to write in cursive ? Anyways good video nice to see you in areas I've been once again.
5:22 That chimney is the toilet part of the outhouse. The hinge for the seat is still attached for one side. It's like the forest service pit toilets have. Probably why it says no pooping.
Great video Sarah, Wow a grave marker with my name on it, well I'm still not dieing.🤣🤣🤣 That was some cool old cabins, everytime I see stuff like that I think of how much work to fix it up. Never again do I want to suffer the winter with out heat and summer without the means to get cool. Well I'll be waiting for your next one Sarah, hope all is well.👍❤️🇺🇸

That's so sad that somebody would trash up the desert like someone needs to come with the dumpster to clean it all up.
I know not one cat that curious. Your curiosity has no known limits I can see. Very interesting video.
Joshua Trees are not "Trees" since they are herbasious meaning not woody. They were once thought to be part of the Lilly family about were recently reclassified as a Yucca like Aloe or the Spanish Bayonet.

TOTALLY worth the trip! You, my friend, have transitioned through youthful opportunity and adventurous reality check into credit fortune. I am known to have said: Wave your hands and make things happen.
I don't go offroading in desert areas you go to. It's nice to see desert areas with hidden gem places of history buildings, mines, caves, posts, etc in the middle of "Knowhere" in the middle of a Mojave desert area in California.
Wow! Great video. You are so brave. I would never go into a mine like that.. Again, Wow!
My how your mind does wander. You can take any object you find and go many directions very entertaining. You are true treasure and wonder. I love hearing your voice and seeing the adventures. 😀 thanks

My 2 best KZreadrs found in 2022 is because they did a video about the Toyota 4Runner. The Hussy and Sarah-n-Tuned have brought me great joy all because I wanted to buy a new 4Runner last year and was searching KZread for videos about them.
That's so interesting stuff One wouldn't really want to poke around those sites at night...for fear of stepping off into one hole or another. I hope those off roaders on their four wheelers know where the holes are. As for the little dug out hole, I don't know it I'd even fit in there at 5" 11" and 180 pounds. Well maybe I could crawl in and crawl out. Anyway, I sure appreciate your letting us tag along, Darlin' Thanks a million and much love to you and yours.
The Mudd Monkey post may have been a claim marker and the "Mudd Monkey" was the name of the claim. To stake a valid claim unter the 1872 Mining Act you have to place 4 "substantial" corner posts and another at the "discovery" on the center line of the claim to put everyone on notice that the area is claimed. The discovery post has to have intormation about the claim and claimant. Traditionally, that is on a piece of paper in a Prince Albert Tobacco can nailed to the post. Lode claims are 600' by 1500' and placer claims are up to 20 acres, usually conforming to the Section, Township, Range survey system. Probably TMI but as an old geolgist this took me back to my field and claim staking days in Wyoming.
you're not only hussy your wonder hussy.
The concrete around the mine opening would have been placed there by whoever (BLM?) built the protective steel covering over the opening. It's nice that they preserved it for us to see rather than just filling it in! I'm guessing that the two partially filled-in pits you found near the small cabin were where the outhouse once stood... Somewhere out there are two sneakers looking for their twins.

Any day I start with a wonderhussy episode is a good day!
Did some research. Donald Deloss Kenney was born Jan 25, 1916 in Canada. He died Dec 18, 1995 in San Bernardino. Findagrave says he is buried in Coolgardie Mining Camp in the Mojave Desert. He was married in 1935 to Ora Lavarre Brenot, born 1919, died 1996. She is buried in Whittier California.
"It came from Outer Space" included the Joshua Trees in the Mojave Desert. It was some spooky scenes at night. The trees seemed to take odd forms with light and shadows. I would love to see you explore (safely) the night desert. If you have and I missed it, I'm sorry.

While she might want to film at night nearly all cameras don’t have the ability to do so. It would be a very expensive one if it could. She filmed a little outside the underground house in Vegas plus inside it but it had more ambient light than desert land.
I'll bet that big Joshua tree is several hundred years old, maybe even more than a thousand.
I’m cracking up you stood right on top of the pit it’s next to the cabin❤😂

Fun video and it's terrible the way people dump trash anywhere.
First had nice foundation but more than half dirt floor, better than a cave I guess. The second cabin seemed more livable if the temperature is under 90. The cave was probably a mine, maybe a miner lived in it, it would be cool in the heat, or could be hangout for campers also.
Than I you for another fantastic desert adventure!
Aren't you technically friggin off roadin in the wonder wagon?😂 Glad you do!! Enjoyed the video. That massive Joshua tree is amazing!

it's possible some of these camps both above ground/below could actually be a nice vein of gold It would have to be pretty worth it to dig a hole, or mine under a shack. Makes you wonder..what were they mining? Thanks for another sweet adventure.
