Hood Fabrication • 68 Dodge Charger R/T

Part 12 • Hood Fabrication
In this video, we continue the fabrication of Ed's 68 Dodge Charger R/T. Scott & Mark shaped a cool underside for the hood on Mopar. The underside of most hoods are usually pretty boring from the factory, so we had to spice it up. This Mopar will sit on a Roadster Shop "Fast Track" chassis and will be powered by a Dick Landy 440ci V8. This car will be fitted with all the goodies. Lots more to come on this one, so stay tuned!

For anyone wondering why we put so much time and effort into the underside of a hood, it’s because we knew we would be competing for the Al Slonaker Award at the Grand National Roadster Show. These are the kinds of crazy details that need to go into big builds that compete at a high level at these shows. Go big or go home!

Details like this is what makes these cars so expensive to build. Like he said most people will look at and say cool, but have no idea what went into it. I love this channel. Way better than anything on TV or Netflix.

Shit that is a hell of a lot of work to make it look that good, and make room for the motor, especially without a scoop. Most shops would have just cut a hole in it and added a scoop. I like the stock hood look with a big ass motor under it!

Those bikes are awesome! I grew in the same generation. I couldn’t afford all those, but I did my own rebuild of an RL20ii a few years back and ride it all the time. Looks like he got some skyways and mongooses. Maybe a video on the bikes is on the agenda?

The craftsman ship is exceptional, BUT so unnecessary, that hood probably cost labor 20k easy, the modification is forgettable
