We are using traditional Victorian candy making techniques in a new way to make crystal candies with flowers in each piece. In this case the candy is honey flavored and the flower is a Sun Flower. We make candy like this most days at Lofty Pursuits, a candy store, soda factory and toy store in Tallahassee Florida. We serve a great brunch too. :)

Y’all should make crystal candy canes that have an image in the center, so when you bite it, there’s an image

I appreciate that the "quality control" actually took the time to admire the hard work and art he put forth.
I love the fact they took the time to look at it and appreciate the beauty and effort put into it before eating it!!!
The looks on their faces. PRICELESS.
Greg is the greatest! Love his voice, & his wealth of knowledge, & attention to small details that I have never seen in candy making! You sir are a true artist, Pioneer, & a Gentleman! Can't wait to come down to Tallahasse to meet you, & spend the day @ Lofty Pursuits! I'm not too far, only 19 hours away in Springfield, Mass! Thank you Greg!
I love the way you give a history lesson on every video! 😄💜
Our family's favorite in winter 3 years running! Please never stop making these.
I lived on a farm when I was younger (I'm from South Africa) and we had this massive gorgeous sunflower that grew taller than the back house

It got all sexy at the candy rolling part, I'm concerned where it came from XD
I just want to tell you the reason people love your show is because it’s Informational and you also have a soothing voice so when people say you are there stress reliefer it’s because your voice helps I know because I have a lot of stress and watching and learning things I didn’t know help me relax and your voice also helps
Amazing how much knowledge you can get on this channel just by watching the Chef making candy.
Whenever you make candy in this style it always makes me smiles as it reminds me of little glass beads with glass flower patters inside my parents would by for me when I was little.
Speaking of art, it would look really neat to have a piece (or a few pieces) of each type of candy laid as a kind of mosaic in a frame, then encased in a clear Lucite or something of the sort.

@@LoftyPursuits So, this is where resin cud actually come in handy. Even just paintin a thin layer of ultraviolet (sun) activated resin wud be enuf to keep it fresh for much longer and then can cast a bunch of them at a time together that way too instd of makin an individual mold for each piece
I have an immense respect for those who do their work with care and love. Great content, hope you find a lot of success on your way.
Little drawing on the top right is nice touch :)
My son and I got our black current candies. We really love it!
I will never get sick of you talking about candy, also I totally love sunflowers they're just so bright!
Please never drop this candy! It is the best! The honey flavor is so delicate, and it's just beautiful to look at.

We plant sunflowers every year and our neighborhood always ends up having sunflowers everywhere. It's really pretty
I stumbled upon your videos during quarantine and I have to say I am in love with them! I really appreciate the duality of food and education :)
I was in Lofty Pursuits today and foolishly didn't believe you had 462k+ subscribers. I subscribed on the spot so the kids could watch the ticker change and now I CANNOT STOP WATCHING!! Thanks for being one of our favorite places to celebrate and big thanks for treating the kids in their report cards!!

Thank you. Mind you I have a hard time believing the number subscribers I have as well. The ticker in the store is supposed to be a cool way to keep track of the number of subscribers and a fun way to convince people to subscribe. Jennifer it worked :-) The best part is reading in these comments about all these people wanting to come to my shop and you can just drop in anytime you want. Go ahead make them jealous.
I had been a loyal watcher of your video's and then..... I lost track of your video's! So now I am subscribing so I do not lose you again!
I love the crystal series of candies. They look so elegant.
We came from Panama City today and bought some of these. They are wonderful. We also enjoyed meeting you and your employees very much. That's a great thing you got going on there. Thank you for what you do.

The sunflower in the corner was very helpful to see what he was working on

So glad you are back!!
My wife and I have just started watching your channel. We have to say how impressed, we are with the art work in the candy. Simply amazing work!!! Loved the lighthouse, the sun flowers just look amazing. Cant wait to see more...
Thank you for the new video. The videos you make make me feel so calm and good.
I ordered some of your candy, and this is the first one I am trying, it is delicious, I reverted to my five year old self when I opened the candy.

You should not revert to your 5 year old self. I've always tried to be the best of my 5 year old self. I never judged anyone, I always worked at having fun. I did not worry about things. I did not want to go to sleep because I was afraid I'd miss something and I want to wake everyone up in the morning to do more cool stuff. I try to go from adolescence to senility, I just want to bypass maturity.
The sunflowers turned out beautiful!
It looks like that roller reduces the amount of unicorn droppings too! The flowers look great, I love them :)
took a while for my strawberry and sunflower image candy to arrive and I completely forgot about em, but once I saw them in the mail I was so happy! The honey sunflower candy has the most delicate flavor I’ve ever tasted. I called it a bee kiss (-: +there’s two ways to enjoy these candies: watching these videos, and eating em!

I am always amazed at how these turn out.
I love how your videos are educational as well as relaxing
The sunflowers look gorgeous :)
that's such a cool design !!! my son and daughter in law had sunflowers in their wedding back in sept.!!!!
I like that the background music is the jazz standard "Little Sunflower" by Freddy Hubbard :)
I'm so happy to see more videos from you. I really needed one of your videos today. Thanks for being amazing!
In the UK, we call this type of pulled hard candy "rock", and it often comes cut into pieces like it is here, however, the best stuff is the stick variety, which is usually about a foot long and as thick as a quarter. It's wrapped in a colourful hard candy shell (which indicates the flavour), and has a porous pulled hard taffy centre which is usually uncoloured and lightly flavoured, sometimes with writing or a design in a different color rolled into it. If it doesn't exist in america, it might be cool to give making some a shot - It's a really popular seaside treat over here!
Beautiful candy. One of your best.
your candy is definetly on my christmas wish list!
One of your most beautiful yet!
I love the song in the background. Perfect name as well!

+Brendog Skerbdog I think you are the first person to pick up the title of the song. There is always some sort of Easter egg hidden in each video .. well many of them. This is the one for this one.
I love the long ones. Thank you!
Your voice is sp soothing, and watching you make beautiful treats is so satisfying! 💖
What a gentle soul.
I just found your channel today and I love the lessons you include with each video of making candy

Fun to watch AND a botany lesson!
We ordered the hurricane candy and I have to say it is the best cut candy I've ever had...to be honest its the best hard candy I've ever had. Just ordered some more delicious flavors including this one.

haven't been to your channel in a while, super cool to see that you got that roller! it looks super helpful!
Sunflowers are not the only flower with 'flower' in it's name. As it happens, I was gardening today and noticed my cornflowers have just started flowering.
Beautiful!
Mesmerizing!
Neato! I didn't even realize sunflower is the only flower with the word flower in it!
