YES finally some JET200 content
Beautiful Thank you..... had my S14 since 2006 🙂
Best thing I've seen all morning. This thing is a freaking icon of our Aussie scene.
What happened to the PRP brace that you were gonna have fitted? And why the change to plazmaman?

Yep I was asking myself this too. I’m planning on a 2.2 ve and I need to know😂
Happy Birthday Hawkins!
Great video. Awesome hearing about the cars history and the technical side of the engine. Can't wait to see this on track 👍
I can't wait to see the story continuing
Missed the beast & glad to see the update with the usual great tech talk. Great work mate 👍🏻
Another quality vid mate. Awesome to see she's nearly back on the track!
YES!! THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! Keep it up fellas!!
FINALLY!! My favourite car is back!
Been following JET200 since the beginning. Looking forward to following the next evolution. BTW, Looking fit Andrew 👍👌
Can’t wait to see what the pump does. I will def be ordering one
Good to see this car again! Setting a date to reveal is a solid, good luck on that. 😁 Good work, presentation etc. as always.
Geez what a flash back I had this car posted up on my wall back when I was still in school probably 10 + years ago.
good info, love the SR have mine going on 10 years plus trouble free (kinda stockish lol) occasional drift events road trips and going, thinking of giving it a refresh
Excited to see your car come back to life with the VET in it, Matt is redoing the VET engine on my S15 after another shop made a complete mess of it
Excellent, I've been waiting for so long :)
Hell yeah! This is Mad as!
How this channel doesn't have more subs baffles me, another awesome video dude, looking forward to seeing the rebuild
😍😍😍😍 can’t wait
So that's why SR's love blowing gaskets! Learn something new everyday
yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, I was looking forward to this!!!!
Yes remember Jet200..../ ignition DVD....cool it still develops 🤙
finally!!!! i wait for this!
Fav car in the channel VVL power!!!!!!
The ultimate 'whilst I am in there' build :D
that thing is awesome
happy birthday hawko!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Legendary!!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯
I need to get on this level of cool.
That wedge mod is genius
about fucking time . Suspension chassis close up
Matt Hanslow from Redsun is great if you want to put your car in the bin 👍
Awsome
@ 6:30 you had another man's Siemens in ya bore! 😂
A proper car
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I do not know whether to cry, laugh or hate you. My Nissans engine build plan is almost the same, I am only just getting started and you are smashing it, lol! Can not wait to see how this comes together, great work.

@@240southy8 VET head only has VVL activation on the intake cam, a VE+T will activate both cams. Both run solid lifters though.
I'd also recomend looking into GKtech rear knucles with revised kinematics. should be a drastic difference over the stock knuckle design and you save a bit of weight.
Cool if the livery went back to the OG purple days
Yeeess
Just wondering what difference the VE head has in track duties, and where the cam profile change will occur with the new rotating parts? In Street guise I seem to recall it swaping cams lower in the rev range to level the overall torque curve over the entire rev range rather than letting it drop off. Looking forward to watching the build, your vids are taking me back to the Zoom and Hot 4's days. Cheers Andrew, loving it all.
MSpek Peformance carbon kevlar body panels maybe? Converts the rear to S15 style #S14.9
Dude lost weight to go make sure car go faster. Way to go 👍
You wedged the block properly. Ive seen old bearings hammered flat and wedged in.
LOL 2:30 story of every build life.
That’s the strongest sr20det build I’ve ever seen lol
VQ MOTORS NEXT
👍💪💯
That's a lot of power to not sleeve the block.
I love seeing your content but theres one thing that always bugs the absolute crap out of me. The really tiny washed out audio for your guys voices. I don't know what mics you're using but I'd change them because it sounds not great.
"A budget build, cause I had no money" 2020 car prices: hold my beer
i hope he puts the s14 front end back on
With everything you did with it looks like you had $$$ plenty
@MotiveVideo Other than Mazworx, any place to get a good, reliable SR20VET crate engine?
Beat me to finishing my series but I didn’t make the mistakes you did 😅😅
Was there a reason behind not going dry sump system other than cost? I'm glad this car is back, I enjoy technical details.

@@Levent_Ergun yes, for me three advantages: the first is the stable oil pressure even with a lot of lateral G because the pump sucks in a large reserve of oil. the second is the fact of being able to put a larger oil tank so that the oil is less hot. the third the possibility of removing some of the air bubbles in the oil
Awesome overview. Out of curiosity, do you think a Honda K series would need similar overall work to make 600HP reliably by your standards? Or are they really that much stronger factory? Thanks!

From what we know and see they're pretty tough things.
I've got a 95 S14 with an SR20det. Would I be better off with a frs for time attack or stick with my s14??
How much does that Nitto Billet oil pump go for on the regular?
What ECU will you run?
Can you give us a date for wtac?
What happened to the old girdle with integrated main caps? I'm guessing it was machined for the old block and a new one was expensive and overkill

Yes, and WTAC announcement and sparesboxs sponsorship meant we had to move quick The brace is in another sleeved block were building which wont be done in time.
Andrew most of the parts that you end up changing out thats good what do you do with them? Could I possibly purchase them?
@MotiveVideo

We sell some things, we bin some things and we keep some things.
Your billet crank doesn’t look ‘knife edge’, knife edging normally refers to the counter weights being ground into a point... all those counter weights and journals look ‘as forged’, unless I am missing something??
obvious question that im sure will receive a lot of annoyance: considering what power you can achieve with a stock K24, did you consider going down the RWD K24 route?
@666starlet
3 жыл бұрын
the time attack rules i dont think allow it for one and 2, because its a k24
@Paul_Tomlin
3 жыл бұрын
You'd probably have to spend twice as much just getting a $500 stock k24 that will eventually need the pistons rods valves etc etc in there than it costs to do the SR block up. And yes I know how much it costs because I have a built VE.
Andrew lost a lot of weight
Anyone know where to get a u13 sr20det dizzy mines leaking lol
Hey andrew dumb question, but at what point would you just say stuff it and go dry sump, seeing as it is a (dedicated?) track/time attack car ?

lol Think it's time to get a better quality Camera Mic/Body Mic. Need more Depth Low-Mids and Lows in these vox...... - (ORRR Your video editor is Over-EQ-ing the Vocal Tracks. EQ up From 77hz-150hz out of the vox if you find its too bassy but by the sound of things there's nothing from 70-400hz+ that's way too much removed, sounds like an old 80's speaker).......... - (ORRR Maybe the EQ chain used for your Voiceover Microphone is what your video editor is putting the Body Mic on. The Voiceover Mic has a lot of body and depth as a large diaphragm mic whereas the Body mic's range is not so dynamic. You may need to create a separate EQ chain for your body mic 😉) Maybe a bit long winder but as an Audio engineer the audio quality really plays a major role in the experience of these episodes ☺ that being said lets get back to this beauty in the Video 😍 Interesting to see that the Oil pump had to be on the block when Resurfaced, wow, talk about a scary block design if your block is decked and you need to replace your oil pump to a new housing.
Man you should really finish one project before starting new ones
why not just use a different engine, insted of going through so much drama with a small displacmet unit ?

Best thing to do with an SR motor...Throw it in the bin and swap something else in. Once your at 500Hp there just ticking time bombs....regardless of parts.
Mmm. Sexy. Ive got an s14 im plannin out how to turn into a track car without full custom everything for millions of dollars. Jet is where i will be turnin for answers XD maybe not for the motor my wallet isnt ready for that kind of abuse again
