Hi, I’m 70 years old and yes, I love Dylan and the other folks who kicked music into the stratosphere too! You were there playing with the greats- maybe you could talk to us about the music you participated in along with teaching us about those wonderful old tools!

l love your videos and try to catch them all. Great content and well taught. I much prefer a horizontal format over the vertical as it seems to suit the content and make it clearer for me. Thanks for what you do.

Question, I’ve noticed on some very nice old hand saws a thin piece of usually decorative metal, that sticks up at the business end of the saw a little bit. I don’t know what it called and I don’t know why it is on the saw. I’ve heard many KZread guys guess, and they admit to guessing, what its usefulness might be. Would you help out and answer this question?

It's called the 'nib' and is a relic of the much older saw design. It has no purpose any more.

@@gjbmunc Thanks for your response to both of my posts. And yes, it would be interesting to learn about the foundations of rock and roll from someone who participated in its beginnings. I certainly can envision watching you cut moldings with a hand plane while listening to you talk about music! So, the nib, did it ever have an actual function? Or was it a decorative piece?
