I just picked up a 2018 non turbo x3 and it still feels loaded with power! Loving it so far!

I have a 2022 DS RR and absolutely love it. If I had to get another SXS, I would 100% get the exact same machine. 200 HP is not needed. I'd never give up having the RR 200HP engine, but for anyone considering this base 135 HP model, do not hessitate. It is easily more than enough power. One thing to consider as well, the X3 has the most options for aftermarket accessories in the SXS industry.

I purchased my x3 after years of test driving rzr’s and can ams back to back. The Can-am x3 has always had my heart! Super reliable and much faster and better looking than the rzr. I have never and will never look back

I have a 22 DS with 120 hp and I run it in the AZ desert…I don’t ever crave more power. It’s a composed machine, especially after I did some 14” beadlocks and 32 inch all terrains, it just goes over everything. It’s an amazing mixture of maneuverability, and performance. I use it on the road, a ton and the desert, no dunes…if I were a dunes runner I’d say some more power would be nice though. It’s a TON of machine for the price, and super reliable.

I picked up a 2023 X3 DS Base. I've put it through tight trail, fire road, mud, snow, rock, water, your grandma's apple pie filling and it's been such a fantastic platform. I've made some minor mods for comfort, lighting, safety and performance to make the base DS 64" model "my ride" My next adventure is a 2 week overland trip across the west coast of Newfoundland. Not saying i'll never own another platform other than the x3, but for now, i'll be putting the Km's on my car. I love it.

Thank you for reviewing the base model. I picked up a 2023 several months ago, and couldn't be happier with it. I understand the 200hp for dunes, but for most trails, or even logging roads, the 135 is more than enough. And my theory is it'll be more reliable. The engine internals, gearbox and clutch are the same as the 200hp. Only difference is the turbo, IC, and fuel delivery. In other words, the 135 engine/trans was built to handle 200, but you're putting 30% less power thru it.

I want one, I have a TJ rubicon and they are the same width, but that x3 suspension and power to weight just craps all over the Jeep. Trail riding, the speed difference alone would be huge. Pretty tempting to get out of the Jeep and into one of these.

Do you know how refreshing it is to hear someone say they are tired of BLACK WHEELS...I wish manufacturers felt the same way and installed bright colored wheels on these machines...I've hated black wheels from day one on any vehicle...as far as the performance of the X3 I own one and it's freaking wicked...this is my second one I had a 2018 turbo R and now own a new 24 RR and love it...oh and by the way took my factory black wheels off and installed aftermarket silver ones on I just feel for the price of these things it should be a factory option.

Great video! I echo the sentiment about reviewing more "budget oriented" SxS options. Reviewers - probably you guys, most of all with your long history and reputation - are in a perfect position to pass that feedback to the manufacturers. We would buy far more of the "budget" SxS options if there were more accessible information and ride videos

Buddy has one of these with the 200 horse engine and man, even on eco mode the thing is insane powerful. Almost too much for the woods unless you're hill climbing a lot. I think this one with the 135HP would be MORE than enough. He sold me his 30's, since they fit on my RMAX and he installed 32's, he didn't seem to see a power loss with them and they look real nice as well. It's too bad the prices on these things have got insane... I don't know it it'll ever change, but man... I don't know if I could spend more than $20k on these things... That SO much money for a toy... YOLO I guess. Lot of good buys on the used market currently, if people are looking to save money. Seems like the KRX 1000 is the best buy currently on the used market. I picked up a nice one for a second / wife machine. Thanks for the review.

I've never understood the black aluminum wheels. That was something we did in high school to aluminum wheels that had a whole bunch of corrosion and that was a way to make them look good again. If I want a black wheel, go steel. Its hundreds of dollars cheaper and is easier to touch up so it won't look bad after years of being offroad.

I still have my 2022 DS Turbo that I installed the PDrive primary on that comes standard on the base X3 now . The base model Jams, it’ll run right with the 181hp RZR Pro until upper mid range where the RZR will ease away . Mines been fine in 1600+ miles except the secondary rollers splitting apart at 1400 miles and stranding me . Crazy fun machine .

the rs turbo rr is the way to go for the money in my opinion. only thing u are missing is the shocks, the bypass shocks do make a huge difference in the ride. i bought the 22 rs turborr and recently scored a set of the upgraded fox bypass shocks and really made a difference. i had originally had the qs3s valved and sprung by shock therapy and was nice but was a massive upgrade going to the bypass

Got a 23 ds rr as soon as i seen the 24 colors 🤮. Salesman was also dissatisfied with the colors of the base. To get a black one your spending 4500 more. Quality isnt that good found 18mm nut jammed in my front left ball joint. Intercooler bolt cross threaded. And a ton of extra pushin clips scattered about. Alot more options for fox shocks repairs and upgrades. My sport has all the nitrogen come out of the shocks so I put a better resovoir cap from srs suspension on my sport and x3.

I wouldn’t buy another can am if it was last one available. I bought a brand new one in October of 2023, 2 months later it started knocking in engine, took can am 2 1/2 months later to tell dealer to replace cams and lifters due to manufacturer defect. Went to get it, same knocking noise, Nash powersports continues to tell them it needs a new engine due to the manufacturer defect, and also the oil pressure is 500 psi. They continue to drag their feet and push back on replacing the engine, even though it’s a manufacturer defect. Been in shop since January. Go with Polaris……
