Back in the day I caught a few Tench from the Oxbow…but only after dark around 2am.

Nice spot, but I'd have personally traded a couple of hours very 1st light or evening up to dusk for the 12 from 6am to 6pm.
Fished 6pm to 6am last year with the same result.
