Crazy how many of the young kids that shouted those racist things are alive today just in their 60s. The young adults that chanted racist things back then are also still alive probably in their 80s or 90s.

@@hallieharker4384 I know the mindset of these types of people, there is always one group that is about to destroy their way of life, they are incapable of evolving and cant accept change. in the 1920-30s it was the irish and italians. In the 60s it was the blacks, in 2000-2010 it was the gays, in the 2020s its immigrants, in the 2050s it will be transgenders again when medical breakthroughs allow men to become pregnant and women can fertilize eggs and in the 2080s it will be the humanoid robots. In the 2080s trumps transgender grand daughter will run for president on the slogan Make America Human Again. She will blame her election loss on A.I. election systems trying to protect the humanoid robots. I know this because im from the future.

We must not forget the White Marshalls who risked their lives & their families lives. Also the White teacher, Mrs. Henry, who agreed to teach her when all the other teachers refused to teach her. I love how gently the White Marshall guides Ruby through the doors. It really touched my heart.

The courage of a family that sacrificed their young child to make a difference not only for herself but for all black children and in todays society some people take so much for granted. Teach black children their history.

This precious little girl, was incredibly brave and wise beyond her years!!! When I think about what she did at her age, I am astonished by her strength and courage. 💪 I grew up in this era and began school in the early 60's. I still remember the racism and *NEVER-EVER* understanding why my mother was so racist. I refused to raise my own children to be racist, as I believe that change ALWAYS begins within ourselves and what we can change in our own lives to assure that these twisted values are NOT taught to future generations. Let it begin with *ME!!!*

It's still sad that rascism still exists in this world. People who are like that haven't seen the history of segeragtion, they don't know the pain that Ruby must have been through. White children got a lot better education that the black children, it just isn't fair. Ruby must have been so scared, she was only six. But we are lucky that not everyone thinks that way and we have some nice people on this planet. Ruby had lots of trauma in her life, but I hope she never forgets that she will be the one that ended the horrible past of racism. I hope y'all are having a really good day!
