My father used to work in an office and one day he heard meows inside the wall! He asked his boss if he could get into the wall and the boss said no.. heartless jerk.... but my dad took the risk of getting fired and so he got through the wall himself and broke his arm. When he got into the wall there were 6 kittens and two mothers... my dad saved 8 cats and got fired for it!!! But I'm proud they are all fine. They were adopted by co-workers who helped save them. I don't know much except for the fact that the kittens were fine afterwards.

I went from having 1 cat to 6. Came home from work and my wife had found 5 kittens abandoned by the mother - she had probably been killed. They were still not even weaned. We took them in and I told my wife that when they were weaned that we would take them to a shelter. After 3 weeks or so, I came home and my wife said, "This is Cristina, this is Max, etc." Everyone knows when cats are named. That was 15 years ago. They own the house now.

Sometimes rescuers can accidentally turn into a hoarding situation without any intention to, when rescuers don't know how to say no, or ppl keep dropping off too many more, especially small time rescuers, like say, a personal family. It can and does turn into a potential danger much more than ppl know. Some of these ppl who end up handling more then they themselves can rescue even get jail time when in originally, they were only setting out to help these animals and it just got too big.

So.. There was this kitty that i spotted in an abandonned worfactory for about 3 days. I teamed up with friends that wanted to help and we managed to catch him, and after looking around the property we did find two sisters but sadly no mother. Tomorrow is the day when we will finally be able to get them back from the vet who had watched after them during multiple treatments and this clip made me confident about the fact that we should continue to do such actions and happy to see that more and more volunteers actually do them.

This is the reality of our society after 30 years of Reagan's Deinstitutionalization policies. Instead of being in mental health facilities getting the help they need, America's severely mentally ill live in squalid conditions getting addicted to drugs or hoarding animals as seen here.

FrozenVaIkyrie It was disturbing to say the least. Though I think he was mentally ill, not abusive & just needed help. Sadly, animal hoarders are too blind to see the poor condition their animals are in & think they're doing the right thing or they get overwhelmed. Sometimes after getting help they do realise they're better off, both them & the animals. One of the worst cases of real animal cruelty I've seen was a guy who locked up 2 kittens with no food or water just so he could see how long it would take them to die. Unfortunately, despite the hard work that went into saving them, 1 of them did die, however the other 1 got adopted into a wonderful home.

When I saw the dead kitten the tears began to flow. 😢😭😿 I buried 4 kittens last month from "kitten fading syndrome", look it up. The last kitten captured looks like one I found across the road from me just hours after I buried the last two babies. I truly believe God sent that cat to me because I was so depressed from losing those 4 little ones. I've made a promise to God that if he blesses me with great wealth I'll not only help ppl but rescuing animals both cats and dogs as well because in the end they actually rescue us like my little buddy I found that awful night. Depression turned into celebration in a moment. God is so good!!! †

He is in a sort of animal heaven. God loves the animal species, mainly that ones near to us in soul and human feelings. Cats, dogs, farm animals, mammals from the wild, even the birds, all of them have souls, animal souls, of course; and the Allmighty have plenty of mercy, generosity and lot of space for them all. Jesus in the Gospels show his compassion for animals. Sorry by my bad english, I'm from Monterrey Mexico and l love the cats so much.

Thanks for your conscientious and heartfelt care and affection for the poor kitties you help...I buy bags of dry food for a lady here in Paducah who works at CVS and feeds the neighborhood kitties... and have found good homes for six I have rescued myself over the years. I have a tiny home and one cat at a time lives with me in my home. I have always loved kitties and got my first pre ious furball at age six, and named her Thomasina from a cat movie I loved as a child. She was a calico and such a good girl. I would adopt every cat I could today but that isn't the answer . If all of us would do our one small part, the problem would be reduced and kitties would not have to suffer so. No animal, whether horse, dog or cat, deserves being mistreated or thrown out when times get hard or their owners die. God bless the animals who have to try and make it on their own, despite hoarders, life threatening weather, debilitating hunger, fast cars, animal territory fights, etc. May God send his earthly and heavenly angels to watch over them and help whenever and wherever they can. God bless you and the other thoughtful and caring entities who provide safety, healthcare, love, and the chance of caring, safe and protective homes to these precious forgotten little sweeties. Bless them all and may they know kindness and caresses after some of the inhumane treatment they have endured. My dad, also a catlover, had three cats, who were sisters and brothers from the same litter, who lived in his big woodworking shop and they all lived long lives, Boots was 25, Smokie was 23, and Speckles died at 22. I grew up with those kitties and they were like part of the family. I might have learned to drive at 16, but the cats weren't allowed to! They are all buried in our pet cemetery and they are remembered by me today. Part of the joy of a happy life and one well led, is a result of the love and compassion we show to others, whether man or beast. Dad's life was sweetened by the companionship of his kitties, and I feel the same about my life with the cats I have adopted and loved. Thanks for letting me reminisce as my cat loving dad has been gone these fourteen years. And again, for all you do, and the other friends who help you, a great big grateful thank you!

I always appreciate that you show the realities of what rescues entail, including the harsh conditions and the fact that not all endings are happy. I know there are other prominent cat channels on KZread that refuse to show anything sad, and while I can understand not wanting to ruin anyone's day, it's worth a day being ruined if it means that more people understand why rescues need money and manpower, why neutering and spaying are so important, and an animal's life can be saved. Cats with cerebellar hypoplasia can lead wonderful lives, as evidenced by the many livestreams of rescue centers that have cats with this condition. FFRC has quite a few cats with varying severities of CH that are super cute and active, if anyone wants to see them.

Every time I see a dead cat irl, any age, I cry. I don’t know why it makes me so emotional, more than other people. One day, I saw a younger child, around 5 or 6, nonchalantly tell me as I’m walking to school, “There’s a dead cat over there, watch out” And just was the words “Dead Cat” my heart, hurt. I started crying when they walked away, and even when I was almost late for school, I *had* to cross to the other side of the road. I guess I get so emotional because i have my own outside cat that has so much danger around her.

It is a great thing these groups do but also heart-breaking at timez and that is very important to remember. Love to Cole, Marm and their new sisters xx

they are not poor babies they are wild predators. would you "rescue" a bear from the woods and put him into a cage? as far as i can see those cats were doing pretty good. sure, some have died but that's how nature works. the weak die and the strong breed. they had a house and a barn and lots of land to hunt on. i seriously doubt your intelligence if you think a cat is better off being fed hipster catfood, castrated, declawed and bound than live it's life free in nature, hunting, breeding and surviving as is their natural way of life.

When the little baby one died I cried,, to me kittens and cats are like humans that can't talk or look normal. They have all the love to give and they're such distant animals because most of the cats you've adopted possibly lived in a condition like this,, they just don't want to see themselves die like they did with other cats that couldn't make it on the property.

6:19 Poor, little darling's life hadn't even really begun. 😭 I wonder if the kittens born with that wobbly condition are inbred, given the circumstances I don't imagine there could be any other explanation. 🤔 Thank goodness they're all out of that situation, are fixed & in good homes now. 😄

  • @TheGuindo

It's not directly a result of inbreeding, but if the parents have it then there's a chance of it getting passed down to the babies, and if both parents have it, the chance is higher, so inbreeding would certainly result in more babies with the condition.

CH (wobby cat syndrome) occurs when the mother gets the panleukapenia virus while pregnant or when the kitten had head trauma at some point early in their development, it is not a genetic disease but rather a developmental one. It just means that their cerebellum isn't fully developed so they have poor motor control and poor balance - they can live long, healthy, happy lives, even if they do fall over a bit more than your average cat. Although some of the kittens in the video had a head tilt, which is not usually a symptom of CH, so I hope they got checked out by a vet and properly diagnosed.

Miranda Sinnott-Armstrong it _can_ be caused by genetics, but it is more commonly a complication of infection yeah

I'm glad you put the note about how most of them were sick at the end. I noticed the shaking heads and I was worried it would go unnoticed or mistaken for shivering. I worked in a vet clinic with an older Siamese Boy who had the same condition only his was the result of a botched ear cleaning. He had to take antinauseas daily.

Cat Man Chris They have the best of intentions in the beginning, but they eventually get in over their heads. It's really sad for everyone. Ideally all cats should be in good, loving homes, but compared to this, they'd be better off on the streets.

While I love animals, my heart beats fastest and with the greatest affection for cats. I was raised with and around cats and almost define "cat fancier". My last cat, "Kitty", my sweet girl who returned affection in an astonishing way, sickened and died of some terrible wasting disease, is now at home in Heaven, no doubt curled up on my mother's lap and purring in the most contented way possible. I hope to be blessed again with another sweet cat, hopefully the kind who purrs when she talks and talks alot! If you are at home and taking your leisure with your cat in your lap, please know how blessed you are; my Kitty has been gone going on a year now and, at least for me, it doesn't get any easier...just lonely.

There was a feral cat that lived outside of my great grandfathers house. And she couldn’t care for her kittens anymore, so she broke into the basement, and carried them up the stairs and meowed at his door and ran away. We took all 4 kittens in and washed them and cared for them. 1 Siamese kitten went to my aunt and we kept the other three (one orange tabby, and two long haired black cats 1 boy other girl) the girls had since passed. The Siamese one passed away last year due to kidney failure, and my little black one got outside and didn’t come back about 4 years ago. The two boys are amazing though! 14 years old and still in perfect health and the most affectionate cats you will ever meet
