This really is genius tech. I edited my first feature film on Avid, when it was a six figure proposition to own and rented for 2g's a week. Thanks for making me aware of this software! I have shared your video with my friends who are into this kind of production. I do have one point to make. It seems like you are always under pressure in these showcase videos, which can be more engaging then only showing when things go right. Transparency is always good! I would also like to see some more examples of Jetset just working without focusing on the problems as you do in this video. Jetset should sponsor you to work on a short film with proper actors where you are the cinematographer and can focus on the tech instead of doing everything. I suggest finding a filmmaker and actors who has already won/ was nominated for a film festival award (I have done this myself to great success). Cheers big ears!

I do like these videos to have a narrative so I don't just show everything going well. The only problem I ran into in this case was laptop performance and it was down to that specific unreal engine scene. Jetset worked a dream. NAB, as usual, was inspiring. I didn’t see as much as I would have liked due to my responsibilities at the NANLUX booth.
just curious how a color card would help with unreal and a green screen? Maybe I'm phrasing this wrong but is the unreal "world" already rendered at the perfect color spectrum so it would only be used to change the color of the green screen footage to perfect balance and therefore match the already balanced unreal "world?"
@JoshuaMKerr
11 күн бұрын
a colour checker or colour chart would absolutely be useful for matching the colour science of your camera to the cg scene...or vice versa.
Jetset Cine sounds really exciting, but more is needed to be done in tutorials and how to streamline UE sets to Lightcraft. I have decent experience in VP, admittedly complex staff, but what JETSET CINE is intending do is mind-blowing, however it is not as simple as yet to do on cinema camera using iPhone as tracker...
@JoshuaMKerr

It has a learning curve to start wit,h as everything does. But once the workflow is understood I think it's actually quite straightforward. Loads of tutorials on their site too. I'm sure it will become more stramlined as developemnt continues.
hi i downloaded the app. i was wondering is it possible to just record all the tracking data along with the footage in camera on the actual iphone and take it to blender and add animation later., with all the tracking so i dont need to use blenders motion tracking?
@JoshuaMKerr
Күн бұрын
Yes. If you record takes in Jetset on the iPhone, it will record your iPhone footage, your preview composite, and the tracking data. Then, send it through to blender via autoshot. That will bring the tracking data and footage across.
Really incredible work. Any chance of this coming to Android in the future?
@JoshuaMKerr

do you have a breakdown on what needs to be hooked up to the camera, not the phone. I’m new to all of this but highly interested in this process
@JoshuaMKerr
16 күн бұрын
If you're using Jetset cine and want to calibrate with your lenss then (asside from the iphone and your cine camera) you need an accsoon seemo, an hdmi from the camera to the seemo, and a usbc to usbc cable to go from the seemo to the phone. Then, just some rods etc to mount it all on your camera rig.
@outjogging
16 күн бұрын
so you don’t need anything to send signal back to a computer/Unreal Engine?
@JoshuaMKerr
16 күн бұрын
@outjogging If you want to do an on set lighting preview with unreal then generally speaking you need a video capture card to get video into unreal. Elgato camlink 4k, decklink or aja cards are supported by unreal. If you want to be wireless then a set of video transmitters would be a good shout too. We used a set from accsoon.
If the goal is a high end photoreal UE5 Environment then you need to make a Low poly Version for the Phone to Work?
@JoshuaMKerr
15 күн бұрын
You would export your full quality scene (or a section of it) to USD with preview textures and then Ligthcraft's desktop app, Autoshot, turns that into a USDZ for use on the phone.

To connect the camera to the iPhone, you just need the accsoon seemo.I used a seemo pro in this video (supports SDI). Then you'll need an hdmi or SDI cable from the camera to the seemo and a usbc cable from seemo to iPhone
I love almost everything about this software. Why almost? The glaring lack of Android support is the elephant in the room.
