@TheArithmetic I'm socialist, but when it comes to wage gap, you cannot compare all men with all women, because men on average work in higher paying areas. In statistics, you can only compare men and women doing the same job in equal amount. Otherwise it's mixing of apples and oranges. I guess I like statistics more than socialism.

Exactly...plus these women make it seem like we want to be at work instead of being at home. If I could stay at home longer with my kids and do the cleaning instead of going to work and dealing with my irritating boss and endless deadlines, I would pick being at home in a heartbeat. Women gave that up for work and are slowly but surely being treated more like us and the evidence is clear. They don't like it just as much as we dont.

Major landscaping/yardwork? Washing/waxing the car? Fixing the car? How many women do this themselves, or are even involved in it, in some way that does not involve "calling someone" or "hiring a professional"? How many? A few, maybe even some; &, especially these days, there's probably a pronounced dearth of men who are prepared/conditioned/trained to do/capable of doing such work, possibly from growing up without a solid, reliable male role model. Even so, I'd like to think I'm still pointing out exceptions, at least to some extent. Yes? No? Maybe? Perhaps next decade, we should make this a Census question.

Women are not hivemind, incapable of working hard/ negotiating as men, and choosing to earn less. FFS! Why would they. *Some* women would leave workplace. Women don't have inexhaustible source of daily time and energy. And housework and child care - that men don't do, leaves more opportunities for men. Nobody's denying results of given situation, myths are about causes behind causes. But you just play Mr. Obvious, pointing out surface layer, and think your imput is genius or something 🤔 For negotiation - myth is that women have _traits_ that prevemt them from negotiating, debunking points out to known consequences, is your listening comprehension... zero?

so here we go; 1-Women are not FORCED to make children. And the fact that a woman is leaving work for children, doesn't change the fact that she left work. 2-You said that women take care of household chores more than men. So the same point again. You're giving the reason why women are away from work more, you are not disproving anything. 3-You are just escaping from the real answer here. The question was not ''do men and women with the same education get paid the same?'' The question here was if men have higher education level so you should have mentioned the numbers of men vs women who have a bachelors degree. 4-So what a few people think shows that ''women are seen greedy when they want to negotiate'' you make a point like this, if you see yourself like this. 5-Well, if a field is are valued with their importance. for example I think most of us can realize why is medicine more important than design. And anyone that can understand simple bussiness, when a job is done by more people, wages lower per person. come on. 6-Just go on youtube or any other platform and watch a video of someone debunking the wage gap. NO ONE SAYS THAT 20 CENTS IS NOT IMPORTANT. All the content I've seen debunking the wage gap myth gives you a solid argument about the topic, unlike this video.

They quickly realized the physical nature of the profession was more then they had bargained for. I currently work for a cleaning company. My boss who is female makes substantially more because of her time with the company but compared to what I made as a journeyman welder it isn't even close. It's B.S. I mean, I should be paid because I take care of myself and/or my home? Oh my god, I can't even! Reee! If anything, in most relationships, the woman either controls the finances, or benefits from her partner's income via shared financial accounts. AKA, _she's already being "paid" for that "unpaid" labor._ He brings in the dough, while she holds down the house. *Both benefit from one another. It is mutual. Hence the term "partner."* This is why feminism really offends some people. It comes across - and reasonably so - as being _anti-family_ and _anti-human._

First, there is no gender pay/wage gap, there is a earnings gap. In order to compare men and woman earnings you'll have to control for age, occupation, education, experience, hours worked, weeks worked, shift differentials, conscientiousness, assertiveness, region, job sector, size of employing company, hazardous working conditions, performance reports/evaluations, and there still a few more I'm missing. If such a gap existed because of gender, then why haven't these 'researchers' paired with attorneys to sue these employers for violating the '63 Equal Pay Act.

So the statement "Women leave the workforce to have children" is the very first "myth" they attempt to debunk and the very first words that come out of their mouths are "it's not that women want to leave the workforce, it's that they are forced to." Okay, but you just said it's a myth and now you're acknowledging that it's real. Also, there is no such thing as a fatherhood bonus. Nobody walks up to their boss and says "I just had a baby" and gets the response "that's GREAT! Here's more money to take care of the little booger." What actually occurs is that men, the steadfast providers that they are, start working harder and actively seeking higher paying opportunities after becoming fathers. I had to do a serious double-take to check if this wasn't published on April 1st.

Because typically speaking if you've been working at a company for several years depending on the position and job and of course the company. You can end up making more than the person that just started a few months ago. Or vice versa depending on that persons skill.

The gender pay gap is simply the average earnings of men and women working full-time, but it fails to take into account critical variables such as job positions, employment history, education, level of experience, job tenure, level of expertise, or even differences in occupation. When considering all these relevant factors into account the 0.20 cent figure narrows down so much that it reaches the point of vanishing completely. It has nothing to do with sexism or other forms of discrimination, it’s just common sense. Sources: Christina Hoff Sommers, U.S department of labour, Professor Linda Aiken of University of Pennsylvania, Harvard Economist Claudia Goldin, Camille Paglia “Its a man’s world and it always will be”, Georgetown University list of highest and lowest paying college majors, and Statistics Canada P.s Where is ShoeOnhead’s wage gap button when you need it?!

You cited sources! That's just a crazy idea. The video doesn't cite a single source, either verbally, in footnotes, or in the description. Anytime you receive an argument from someone that cites "studies" or "statistics," but doesn't have a single citation it should probably be effectively ignored as an argument for their stance. It can't be completely ignored because there's so many people who will use it to reinforce their own personal stances and biases, but almost cannot be argued against using rational, evidence supported materials because it's so amazingly unfounded.

I've looked at the U.S. Census Bureau and it stated it was median income, not mean. It makes little difference and your point still stands but it is not simply the average like you had stated, as taking the average would likely make the alleged pay gap even bigger, whereas median can more effectively account for the zeros or close-to-zeros for both men and women. Although you would still have a valid point because since women have a lower rate of full-time employment compared to men, there are more close-to-zeros for women than men, so while it is important to distinguish that it is the median being used in these studies, not the mean, your rationale still holds. :) www.dol.gov/wb/stats/earnings_2014.htm

Women are generally more patient and nurturing with children. They also come equipped with boobs which can feed young children. Therefore, anyone that wants to give their kids the best upbringing sees that 95% of the time this is accomplished by having women take time off to raise kids. 3. I never heard anyone say that men are more educated than women. 4. True...men are more aggressive and will ask for raises and promotions a lot more aggressively than women.
