I had no idea that something like a hemstitch needle existed - this really opens up so many possibilities with the decorative stitches on my machine. Thanks so much for sharing this technique!

You are so welcome!
Would love more videos on vintage sewing techniques!
There is a pin tuck foot that creates lovely pintucks. I love how you used the scalloped edge of the fabric. Thanks for the tip.

Another shout out to the mention of wing needles. I’d never heard of them before but I’ve now ordered one already and I can’t wait to try it out. Thank you.

Lace insertion is a favorite of mine and so easy. Looks amazing.
Loved this. I'd love to dabble more in embroidery so any content on that is much appreciated (particularly hand embroidery as I have a very basic machine!)

❤ thanks for the tips on the wing needle. I have one but have never used it. I’m getting ready to make a top with some vintage cotton. I have plenty of fabric to play with. Think I will to try some of these ideas. I like the idea you give on how to hack and wear some of your patterns

I'm not sure. You'll should test it out!
Can you make a video about how to add pintucks to any pattern? Like how much to add to a skirt etc and different looks of diffwrent tuck widths etc.

I loved this! I have a very basic machine with no programmed pretty stitches. There must be handwork techniques for some of this openwork. Are there any on the site?

We've got tutorials for some basic hand sewing stitches but not these specific techniques. We will definitely consider adding some!
Can you use a hemstitch needle with a walking foot?

That's good to know! We've started filming videos each month for members to talk about the patterns and other goings-on within the community. Have you seen those yet? Or maybe there's something else you'd like to see (like more details on fabric choice, etc)? As for the outfit formulas, that's also good to know! Haley's on maternity leave right now so we've paused certain types of videos, but I'm working on one all about what to sew to incorporate a specific style into your wardrobe, and can definitely include some outfit formulas!
