6 Things To Know About the Old Town of Tallinn, Estonia | Travel Guide 2023

Today I'll share my favourite 6 things to see and do in the Old Town of Tallinn. I sit down with Cedrick to learn more about the beginnings of the medieval Tallinn and how the Hanseatic League has transformed this city, which is going to be dope. I also share with you 5 activities that you can do in the Old Town that are super fun.
This is a very special episode. Tallinn is my hometown and after about 13 episodes that I've shot in collaboration with the local tourist group, I've gathered tons of material and met awesome people who are as passionate about Tallinn as I am. I hope you will fall in love with this city as much as I have.
Can't recommend enough joining the Tales of Reval medieval tour in the Old Town (It's free and it's super fun).

Ah man I was literally thinking this morning about when a new Polly video might drop and here one is! I'm in the US, so the closest I've ever been to Estonia was when I visited Iceland, but Estonia is definitely on my travel list. One of my favorite rally drivers Ott Tanak is from Estonia too. Small world sometimes! Anyways I should probably click play on this video now, but just wanted to say thank you for making my weekend filled with more Classic Polly excitement!

Thank you for the info, both here and the Visit Tallinn page! Been there this summer, coming back in 2024. Guess I'll need to rent a bile for the old town. Doubt my tt bike (a.k.a. "the spaceship") will be happy with the cobblestones! :D

Thank you for such a lovely comment. Glad you enjoyed Tallinn. Yeah, for the Old Town, I would rather rent a bike- it's a bit of a bumpy ride and you don't want to ruin your TT bike ;)

Great footage of a city we adore. Cedric is a total hit! Fun to find your channel. Love your editing style and this is a great travel guide. Hmmm...what was it about the WWII exhibit at the bastion that you didn't appreciate?

Thank you! We may be going to Helsinki from Sydney Australia next year. Visiting Tallinn (and more of Estonia) sounds like something we would really enjoy!❤ Now I have watched the whole video, we MUST go, wonderful! Your enthusiasm is infectious❤Subscribed.

Thank you so much for your kind words! It's pretty usual that people who visit Helsinki pop to Tallinn for a day or two and vice versa. Since Tallinn is my hometown, I'm a lil biased so I would recommend to stay for a 2-3 days at least.

Just watched this and your Christmas market video after booking flights and hotel in Tallinn for 2023. Thank you for your efforts. Your videos have so much enthusiasm and colour which is missing in other video producers. We now cannot wait for December.

Nice As a bicyclist is Tallinn bicycle friendly or do you ride at your own risk. I take it is like some cities you got good areas and challenging areas for cycling.

I believe Tallinn is like any big city out there where some rounds are more manageable than others. The good bit is that TLN is pretty small and it literally takes about 50 on a bicycle to cycle from one side of the city to another:)

My biggest thing about the old city is be warned with the cobblestones. Pack a pair of walking boots, your feet will love you for it.

Stayed for 2 days and climbed all the towers and walls, but did not find the under ground world.
