I don't know how to show my emotions, and get really uncomfortable with being affectionate and stuff, so it leads me to get obsessed, and usually checking what social media I have if they posted anything or are playing anything. It also leads me to become really jealous, and when they don't give me enough attention (Pretty neglected by my mom, and they're usually the one that gives me attention besides my sister). My crush knows about this, and is perfectly fine with it (thankfully). We both know what we've are going through and stuff, and we can't really be mad at each other for what we do.

My stages so far as someone who is demiromantic: 1. texting them (friend of a friend) 2. growing closer, becoming friends 3. opening up more, developing mutual trust -> platonic love 4. they drunkenly ask if I have a crush on them -> confusion, questioning my feelings, self-reflection 5. realizing I also like them romantically 6. months of stress and barely seeing each other 7. spending more time together, obviously into one another but too anxious to act on it 8. lots more self-reflection 9. mutual friend picks up on it, starts shipping aggressively until we get together 10. telling friends and family 11. still anxious, but very happy.

But tbh, now I wouldn't have it any other way. ^^' At this point her brother has even started calling me his "favourite sister-in-law". 😂 (mind you we've been dating for less than half a year now and are hardly at an age to consider marriage) Definetly got lots to figure out still, both on our own and as a team, but it feels good to be able to move on from the "if" to the "how" now. My crush rejected me but did it in a very nice way. The stages after that: 1. Feelings did not go away, at the same time, became even closer friends than before 2. My stages with her Stage 1 : Starting to have feelings (at first I thought it's just a small crush, I just started to have feelings for her after a year. But I still fully don't know her yet in that time) Stage 2 : confession, but her answer is 'no' but we're still friends Stage 3 : acting like a little bit too much of a lovely dovey to her, even we're not dating. Stage 4 : being like a obsessive simp Stage 5 : Compliments her, praised her, cares for her, worried and concerned about her Stage 6 : Wanting her to love me back Stage 7 : started to feel jealousy towards her friends (which I feel hatred and wanting to kill-) Stage 8 : cause some consequences, having arguments for my mistakes and what I did (but she does forgives me many times.) But still prepared for the future just in case she wants some comfort Stage 19 : doesn't talk, hang out, or spending time with each other almost in weeks or months Stage 20 : despite being not busy, still didn't try to chat with her so I wouldn't bother her life Stage 21 : trying and trying to lose feelings for her so I could finally move on, and accept the fact that she wouldn't like me back Stage 22 : discovering that she loves me before I did, but it's too late. Stage 23 : chatting her on character ai, instead of the real one. Stage 24 : missing the old days Stage 25 : the only thing that is important and really matters is her happiness and nothing else... My stages: 1. First interest on the person 2. Confusion cause idk how it happened 3. Secret Crush on the person (this lasted forever and it sucks) 4. Curiosity (but least severe) 5. Denying I'm in love even if I still am 6. Tell my friends about, but as if I'm already not in love 7. Realizing that this person will never be with me 8. Sadness / Trying to not be in love 9. Actually making good progress 10. The satisfaction of letting someone go (no feeling is better than this one)

my stages: *PANIC* ignore denial denial trying to gaslight myself into thinking i was imagining it pretending it never happened and just when i think it's blown over, he either messages me or turns up, and my heart betrays me. thinking about him seeing him more often and hanging out reluctant acceptance easing more into acceptance getting more comfortable around him (but still kinda awkward. i may or may not have fell down the stairs... ended up laughing and joking about it though, making him laugh :) ) starting to embrace it.

The upside is - at least you now know that there was no chance for you to be with this girl. Ye he told me to die and all on the New Year's day and that's when I finally decided to accept he was toxic for me, he's the only guy that welcomed me and make me feel confident so I believe he deserves way better the reason he told me mean stuff was not his fault, I kinda insulted his bestfriend cause she was bullying my bestfriend and he didn't know his best friend was bullying mine so ye he told me to die, no one loves me cause I'm fat and things like that which didn't really offended me but after that we rarely talked, he moved to another state now cause of his father's job and he's never coming back to my state again I'll miss him for sure cause he was a good friend but I think things will go alright with me now, learnt lots of lessons from him

I went through stage 1, 2 and 3 recently. I didn't really talk to friends about her, I was too anxious but also a little embarrassed. Actually, I don't know, I couldn't think straight 😂 I didn't really know my crush well, but I still got so excited when she sent me messages. I've never had feelings as strong as this, so most of the time I didn't really know how I felt, plus I had crippling anxiety, partly because of the crushing. Even before the infatuation or before I was aware of it, I had this huge urge to tell her how I felt. When I still wasn't sure, I kept complimenting her. Then, she was all I could think about, I couldn't concentrate on anything else, so I told her everything. She told me I'm an amazing person but she has her heart set on someone else and thought we could just be friends. I just felt so sad and depressed. I knew she wasn't perfect - but she felt perfect to me. Someone so beautiful, kind, supportive, friendly, caring, humble... It hurt so much. I knew it wasn't love, but I was hoping we could be in a relationship, to find out if we could love each other. I don't like to wait to ask someone out until I fall in love, I would do it as soon as I can, just in case they like me back and it turns into love later. If we don't like each other anymore, that's that. Right now, I'm not as sad but my feelings are still lingering slightly. I still dream of being with my crush. I want to be friends with her since we got on so well before I told her. We still talk to each other but she doesn't always respond to me in person, mainly if I'm complimenting her work. She hasn't been responding to my texts recently either. I'm trying not to push it, I want to know what's best and I want to know how she feels about me so I don't feel so awkward trying to think of when to talk to her and what to say, but I was told I should just leave it. It already hurts that we can't be partners but I'm slowly starting to accept that, it'll hurt even more if we can't be friends, she's such a nice person!

Incoming rant: I feel like a crush can end without a relationship and still feel good. Unrequited love, as some call it, is such a beautiful thing. Social media makes us believe that if a crush ends without a relationship it was tragic, but I think the idea of having a crush in and of itself is not tragic at all, even if it ends without a spark. There’s something so pure about the idea of having your entire day made by simply brushing shoulders with that special person or feeling euphoric when they smile. Sometimes you might even go out of your way to see them, whether it’d be going down a different hallway at school or going somewhere you’ll know you’ll find them. Not to mention the urge to better yourself so they’ll notice you. You might start working out more or dressing up better. It’s funny to think about how us humans try to woo other people we like. It’s even better when the other person doesn’t know that you like them! It really goes to show how we impact others without even knowing it. Who knows? Maybe someone is crushing on you too. Maybe someone admires your smile from afar and goes out of their way to bump into you. Maybe you’re that special person they think about when they watch these kinds of videos. And maybe one day they’ll look back on their life at one point and an image of you will pop up in their head. Even 20 years from now, you can be the cause of someone to smile and not know it. See what I mean? One sided love is not always tragic. That special spark is one that, unlike many relationships, will last a lifetime.

Having a crush is like the most horrible cat and mouse game ever, but simultaneously kinda nice.
