#6 Remainder Theorem (Part 6) | Fermat's little theorem - Remainder in 5 sec if divided by prime no

To make you understand Remainder Theorem thoroughly , we have brought 12 video lessons of 15 to 20 minutes each and this is the 6th lesson in the series.
Watch Remainder Theorem (Part 4), here - • #4 Remainder Theorem ...
Watch Remainder Theorem (Part 5), here - • #5 Remainder Theorem ...
Understand the entire NUMBER SYSTEM here - • Number System
We are solving the remainders for the following problems -
1)2^90 is divided by 89
2) 39^22 is divided by 7
3) 17^433 is divided by 109
4) 12^114 is divided by 17
5) 659 is divided by 11
6) 30^100 is divided by 17
After watching the entire series of 12 video lessons on Remainder Theorem, you will understand -
1) How to find remainders?
2) The concept of negative remainders?
3) Theory of common factors?
4) Fermat's Little Theorem
5) Euler's Totient Theorem
6) Wilson Theorem
7) Application of Binomial theory to find remainders?

Hi Avnish, I would say that Fermat's theorem is the subset of Euler's theorem. In speed based test, Fermat's is helpful but in exams like CAT, XAT and GMAT Euler's is helpful.

In the last example, you've made 17 to 16..but the answer will be same in either case.. b'coz 168*169 /17 will be -1*-1., by the concept of negative remainders, so the product will be +1... Well, i think this is a silly mistake from your side..
