I separate the two, George Lucas Star Wars and Disney Star Wars. I treat George's Star Wars as the real star wars and Disney Star Wars as the what if, low quality fan fiction and non canon Star Wars.

I believe Star Wars should’ve taken away from Disney and be how it was before Disney bought Lucas film and fox, Disney rarely puts out good Star Wars content, or be in public domain because I think fan made films and animation does it better than Disney

@StarForceOne This is an excellent, straight to the point presentation and I completely agree with you.I am sure you will have comments that state George retconned things or changed things making things inconsistent, especially in the PT so why can't Dave do this as well? Well, George did do those things BUT his stories were coherent unlike Disney Star Wars which has become so convoluted, all over the place and way far, far more inconsistent. I personally feel that Star Wars needs to be sold and kept faraway from Disney...sold to someone who understands the lore and respects George's vision. Furthermore, Disney canon needs to be decanonised. In other words, Star Wars needs to be refreshed with a clean slate after Return Of the Jedi ( George Lucas Canon ) or include both the EU and George's canon. This is truly the only way to rectify Star Wars, otherwise under Disney it is going to get worse with lower quality and things just won't change. I separate Star Wars as George Lucas Star Wars which is canon and the real star wars for me and Disney Star Wars to me is a what if, non canon and lower quality fan fiction. Also, I now don't see young children dressing up as Star Wars characters , which I used to see a lot of 10 years or more ago. Young people don't know much about Star wars or don't have any interest in it.

I think they should keep both timelines as differnt versions. One as the dinsey cannon, the other as the legends cannon

In my honest opinion, Disney’s choice, and most importantly Dave Filoni‘s choice to not consider the events of the old republic and the rise and fall of the eternal empire, and the ancient dark lords of the Sith Not acknowledge their existence and the contributions that they’ve made to the galaxy for over 25,000 years is garbage any would agree that the old Republic era should be the way that they should’ve taken the story instead of doing the garbage that it’s called the sequels in my opinion. The only thing in Canon that is good is the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy because those are still under George Lucas

I find it so depressing that Disney has done such a horrible, disrespectful and terrible job with Star Wars to the point that nowadays no one cares about it anymore, hear that? no one cares about Star Wars and that's something that sounds unbelievable if it were said many years ago. The movies/shows they hire people that legit have no care or interest in Star Wars itself besides it looking good on their resume, the games they hired EA and Ubisoft out of all companies interested in Star Wars they chose the 2 that again have no care or interest outside of it being on their resume. It's been like this from the very start that being the purchase and it's suprising how it's taking people this long to figure out that Star Wars died on that day.

9 years ago I would see little children dressed up as Star Wars characters everywhere...some would come into my work as they knew I am a Star Wars fan to show me their outfits. I don't see this anymore. And when I visit pop culture stores, the Star Wars section is now relegated to a small corner with a few items. The young ones don't even know much about Star Wars these days.

I personally stopped reading the young adult novels ages. I only read the mainline proper adult novels now. They’re more canon to me than the young adult novels could ever be.

In the Documentary, will you include anything about comics and other materials trying to explain or add details the sequels as they got out just being ignored or contradicted? Or maybe something about tie in novels disagreeing with what the directors say?

If I have a powerfully position in Lucasfilm one of my first acts is giving The Lucasfilm Story Group unchecked power or full power in general instead of them being more of advisory group. With that in mind One of my next moves is created the position of Lore Master as in someone who would be serving as a Lore Consultant for future Star Wars films and shows and makes some aspects from the books are aligned what happened in the shows and movies? Another position that I would create is call Continuity Editor where they serve as well editors for books and comics they make sure and check on the page for each book or medium to for errors whether it is related to continuity or typos in general? What do you all think of my plan to give Canon more tight and restrictive continuity that was promised more then a decade ago?

I was 16yrs old in 1978 when the first movie came out over here in Australia. ( nothing new about getting a Blockbuster movie over 12 months after the overseas release in the 1970s over here. DON'T ask me why, but it was the same for books, and only marginally better with record releases. Like only 3-6 months for records, but immediately released on the radio and by 1978-1980, everything was ALL immediate release. BUT . . . The point I was trying to make, was that we all knew that there was always "more to the story". I mean, name me any other story or book, that starts in the 4th season or in the 4th chapter, something like that. Well there you go mate, ya" can't, can ya'? Because there's nothing, just nothing else, at least nothing else that I'm aware of. So we all wondered, at least people in my cohort did, "when are they gunna bring out the bloody rest, eh? How much longer do I need to spend in the Pub, waiting for "everything else to come along." Little did we realise that, there was this whole ton of novels, novellas, Comics and illustrated novels, all coming out over the decades, and right under our noses!! Oh FFS, didn't we all feel (didn't I feel stupid everyone else knew about all this "Star Wars Stuff" bar yours truly, I'll never trust 'em again I tells ya', NEVER !!)

Me, and Sean were fans of Star Wars since we were 1 years old back in 1999 before we turned 2.

Filoni was always a kids' cartoon writer. The fact that they made him so important just because of TCW goes to show that the fans and Disney don't know what they're doing. Of course a kids' cartoon writer has no respect for ancillary lore, and he's more than liable to make mistakes even in his own shows.

It's hard to fathom why nu-SW fans eat up Disney's slop like they're starving. Even if they're just casual viewers, it's not at all hard to compare the quality of writing, worldbuilding, storytelling, etc. to that of both old canon and the EU. It's like they're allergic to anything actually good, even if it means it's a benefit to their time. As someone who adores both Legensa and Canon equally, I'd have to say that you are ignorant and don't realize most fans. To insult an entire fan base. NJO Star Wars books, while now adored were not known to exist by most people. Everyone I spoke to who adored the films never heard of the books. Furthermore, Lucas himself made Star Wars a sandbox. He allowed most the content, but wouldn't hesitate to retcon anything he wanted to. As he did with the Clone Wars Multimedia Project. As he did with making Mandalorians Peaceful. As he was going to do with his own sequals, that would've retconned all of Post RoTJ EU material.

Thanks to rule number 4, I'm going to write a fanfic about how Mace Windu and Shaak Ti survive to see the New Republic rise. We didn't canonically see them die, one flew out the window, the other dropped into a Sarlacc pit or got her death cut from ROTS. I'd have them show up in the Jedi Academy days; Shaak Ti was slowly regenerating inside the Sarlacc on Felucia which she tamed, and Windu was in a slab of Carbonite after he fell, and Luke buys that slab and frees him. They live to see the New Jedi Order, and while they disapprove of Luke's reforms, they could not argue with their results. They then help Luke defeat the Imperial Remnant and help him fight against the Yuuzhan Vong. Hey, if Filoni could do it, I can do it too. The only difference is I'm going to use lore and canon to make it happen.

And who knows, Maybe the Force Unleashed game will become cannon in the future. Just be patient, OK? may the force be with you guys

You are completely right about Luke and Leia indeed and there were inconsistencies within the OT and the PT as well. George being the creator of the Star Wars stories/movies was entitled to change things around. That said, Disney Star Wars has been introducing so many different narratives against George's established lore, which has become very confusing and convoluted.
