Cundy is actually on to something. A lot of people don't realize how poor Chelsea have been since Tuchel was fired in September 2022. Of the 144 possible EPL points available since his firing, Chelsea have only secured 53 points. That comes out to collecting 36.81% of possible points in the time stretch. If you stretch that percentage out over a 38 game EPL season with 114 total possible points, collecting 36.81% of points gets you 41.95 points (42). That is how bad Chelsea have been. They have been a borderline relegation level team for 15 months. The numbers don’t lie

The 21/22 season Chelsea was 12 points clear and destroying teams and the team was obliterated by injuries in mid November and has been suffering from injuries since then. The team is a completely different beast if they can get a fully fit team to play. They have 13 first team players that are or have been injured this season and at least 10 of them have played less than 500 minutes in the league which is out of the 1,440 minutes that a player that has played in every game would have. 14 injured players are in the medical centre. Get any other team to try and deal with this situation and see how they go. Tottenham lose 4 first team players and they took 1 point from 15 Manchester City in the 4 games without Rodri and they have 0 points from 12. But they are forgetting those numbers.

@@theblues8840 The fact that Chelsea has been buying the best players in the under 19 age group and if half of them live up to their potential then it’s a huge deal. Nkunku has been a top player in the past few seasons and has been unlucky with his injury. The only players that have been missing regularly in the last couple of seasons have been Forfarna James and Chilwell who are probably the best wingbacks in the league when they have played. So keep that delusional hatred in check because the new owners have been putting in place to dominate over a number of years and using the same system that has been a huge success in the other clubs that they’ve built up in other sports that have made massive financial profits and have been dominant in titles victories. We’ll see who will be the geniuses successful business models or know it all keyboard warriors. I know who is the most relevant group to believe in.

I think this was Boehly's plan all along. No chance of winning the PL with Guardiola and Klopp in England. The chances of a sustained, fruitful full season are infinitely improved if playing in the Championship. It sounds ludicrous but it's an absurd world.

Yes, Chelsea could be in the road to relegation. Right now is not easy with premier league as every team is putting on a bottleneck. Presently, I think Chelsea's problem stem from the defensive wings (Cucu and Colwill are technically still low class markers) towards soft defensive midfield then to low quality strikers.

These types of endings have been saved from happening before, but were saved from taking place because of the experience of Sterling being on the pitch and controlling the game for Chelsea. For what it's worth the 6 pointer thing was never to do with teams at the bottom, but somehow it got hijacked by people in the media. It was always about two teams coming up against each other who were close together in the league separated by 3 pts, it could be 1st playing 2nd, 8th playing 11th, but separated by 3pts, so the difference to winning & losing for both teams regards to league table on the day is 6 pts, therefore added significance because of league position rather than been miles away from each other in the table. Somehow over the years that has just got lost in the media drivel, it was never anything to do with relegation teams or games. I'm sure it was someone on Soccer Am in the mid to late 1990's who come out with it., no idea of actual episode or who it was, but I'm sure that's where the whole 6 pointer thing started.

Oh, and the "6 pointer" has nothing to do with being separated by 3 points from one another. It's simply that when rival competitors face off against each other, the winner stands to gain 3 points in their favour, while simultaneously depriving their competing rival of a possible 3 points. Hence effectively, 6 points total value, within that single game. That's regardless of any points gap. The two teams could be on equal points at the kickoff, and that game would still be considered a "6 pointer" for the reasons mentioned above. I've been watching football for over 40 years, and it's always been that way.

Hi@@theblues8840, no, because that's just a big game between two teams close to each other in the league, could be separated by 1pt, 2pts 5 pts etc. My understanding was that the original meaning of the term "6 pointer", was always about teams playing each other when separated by 3pts in the league, that's the key, separated by 3pts, whether that's at the top of the league, mid table or fighting relegation. The difference in pts in regards to league table between the two playing teams on the day is 6pts, whoever is 3pts ahead can go 6pts clear with a win, but if they lose that gap is 0, hence the term "6 pointer", but it just got muddled in the mainstream media over the years to talk about any so called relegation game or games between teams down the bottom. Not that it matters much and many probably think it's all nonsense anyway! 🙂👍

After Chelsea beat Fulham they thought their woes were over, now Fulham are in 10th and Chelsea are a shadow of themselves, Fulham have scored 16 goals in 4 games and I reckon away at Newcastle we will do them as well.
