6 Old School Melee Legends That Have Still Got It

Ойындар

A video showcasing old school Melee legends that still have the ability to go toe to toe with high level players nowadays.
Featuring Ken, PC Chris, Azen, Mew2King, ChuDat, and KoreanDJ, highlighting their prowess both back in the day, and in the current era of Melee.
Thanks for watching!
PS: I specifically wanted to feature players that saw dominance before or during the MLG era of Melee (2001-2007) because anything other than that just felt too recent.

    Blazerp, that can't be true. Surely he must have remembered beating both Armada and Leffen beforehand. Plus, the fact that he played Armada right after Armada beat Zain, there would have been many matches inbetween if they were playing winners finals. Plus the fact that he warmed up vs Mango's Jigglypuff beforehand because Hbox looked like he was gonna make GFs from losers run.

    @@GeneralErlend There are no hazards and the transitions have warnings. It's not without some jank but it's stayed a counterpick stage for a reason. Plus even with it's more questionable aspects, it's hard to argue the stage hasn't led to some hype as hell moments.

  • @GeneralErlend

    @GeneralErlend

    5 жыл бұрын

    @@reNINTENDO I definitely agree that it has had hype moments, but I still technically don't see a reason why it should be a legal stage. It favors Fox heavily in both PAL and especially in NTSC for one, and even with the warnings it more often than not goes down to a grinding halt during transitions, where no player wants to commit on offense, thus both just stand there camping and poking. It doesn't have hazards like Brinstar (except the occasional glitch) and such, so there is a valid argument there going for keeping stadium. Other than that, I think the arguments against it are more favorable than for keeping it. Just my opinion though.

    A documentary from a while back. Talking about the origins of melee to the death and rise of it as well. It's really well made, pretty long but goes into great details and really gets into detail of the players it focuses on. It's all on KZread.

    Ken's nickname is The King of Smash because of his dominance in the early noughties...from around 2001 to 2006. He also won Evo 2007. He recently went 13th in a recent EVO.
