Figure collecting will never die and it only gets better. Toy companies know how to play the same game as some of the collectors. We had that phase for a while and a few still play where they complain about prices and say they will wait for clearance. The toy companies know when they create this false demand and stuff starts selling out people panic and start buying everything up again. Its an infinite tug of war that will always be their.

I'm kind of confused this video was about 6 in and I've seen a lot of of this video was talked about McFarland / storm collectibles/super 7 they're not even 6 inch they're more like 7IN sometimes 8IN. But since you brought up super 7 the only reason the articulated figures do so horribly the price point it's ridiculous for no more than how they move if it would actually sell their figures $10 $18 I could justify buying a figure that doesn't move as well. And you were also talking about pre-ordering pre-ordering doesn't even guarantee you're still going to get it I've heard several occasions where people pre-order and guess what they still didn't make enough so pre-ordering is still not safe

Maybe it’s not dead. I hope new people join in the collecting hobby. I am glad companies are upping their game.

Josh is spitting facts on them messing with supply and demand. Big Nerdy over at Nerdzoic has a pretty interesting video talking about how stores like him already see Hasbro turning down the supply so they all just throw out big numbers and hope for the best because at this point no one is getting what they ask for.

There's a shift happening but it's definitely not dying. Hasbro is slowly going direct. Independent companies are rising up. I think it will end up in a better place.

The same happened with 1:6. like hottoys. They looked at sales numbers from prior sales and produced way too many of things that didn't sell like the data predicted and now there is so much overstock. So now HT has been doing the limited release of most new figures. like only 1,500. So they can be sure to build hype and sell out.

They're not toys. They're collectible action figures. Yes, it's dying. People used to run put to grab the latest toys. Now, no one cares. Parents don't buy kids those action figures. No one plays with them. They're strictly for the shelf. Toys are action figures meant for kids to be played with. The market now is oversaturated with way to many companies that cater to adult collectors. Killing the actual toy market designed for kids. A perfect example is TMNT latest movie that are sold in stores. Those are toys. About $10 or so. GI Joe classified are not toys. They're for adult collectors and doesn't fit the price point at $25 or style for kids.
