6. Livin' it up on top [multicam] (sub. Español) La ciudad de Hades

Livin' it up on top Hadestown sub español bootleg multicam
Desgraciadamente la mayoría de la ingeniosa poesía de la canción se pierde en la traducción, pero aquí está!

Serious question, how does she not get dizzy during all those spins?

A lot of dancers spend so much time spinning they’re actually desensitized to dizziness. Specifically the vestibular system: the system that controls your balance and well dizziness obviously. But yeah I agree Amber Gray is incredible.

She probably spots her turns, looks at one specific spot and keeps her head focused on it while she spins, that way the inner ear fluid that makes us dizzy doesn’t get all messed up

Why are they constantly changing the lines? I’ve never actually seen the musical as I live in Australia, but I’ve seen several different handheld recordings of various scenes and it seems like they’re constantly changing lines. Cause that’s not what Orpheus says during his toast in the album. If you’ve written a musical just stick with your lines, don’t constantly adapt and change it.

The whole bootleg is from the previews as they were testing out lyrics and scenes, you'll see in newer boots it's much more concrete and follows the album(mostly)

Heaven forbid people workshop things and use previews to figure out what works and what doesn't and making changes accordingly. Except, that's literally what pretty much all shows go through. 🤷

@@esshor. Well you can keep your opinions on how things should and shouldn't work, it ain't gonna change how things work and have been done for absolute ages. Previews are exactly that, people still get to see a fully rehearsed and polished show, but their feedback gets to influence how it might still develop before it hits Broadway (which is where it usually becomes the "final" version you seem so obsessed with). I really have trouble understanding where your indignation comes from, at some point you have got to try out a well polished and rehearsed show and see how it works for an unbiased audience. A development is not a betrayal of those who saw the show before, it's a necessary step in creating the best possible "final" show. But you don't get that in an empty room. Developing a show is a labour of love, not a chewing gum that you need to spit out at some point just because some rando thinks you should. 🤷
