6 Horrific Sea Monsters in Finnish Mythology

#finnishmythology
Let's take a look beneath the surface of the Finnish lakes, seas and rivers. Because deep underwater there are various creatures and spirits one might come across when swimming in the Finnish waters. According to folklore, at least.
00:28 Vetehinen
02:33 Näkki
03:37 Great Pike
04:28 Cider whale (siiderivalas)
04:57 Iku-Turso
06:10 Ahti, god of the seas

The most Ahti fish are foul. Why are they made to be so sweet? Salty is the right taste for herring, just add some onions and perhaps sour cream. That might be my Estonian background speaking though.

I don't know, I am half Hungarian and sour cream can make almost anything taste good. Still, the way that looks, you would be better off to get that paste which taste of salmon and then drown it in sour cream or cream cheese. It's not the breakfast of champions, that's for sure.

iku-Turso , in a dream. It was very odd. He was not cute nor cuddly and was protecting something in the water. By his nature he reminds me of another creature aI saw in another dream who I call trout man. So, I have a small amount of Icelandic ancestry. I dreamed I went to Iceland on vacation with friends. We had gone fishing with a guide. At the lake we began to set up while the guide went back to the vehicle and got the poles. Just moments later he ran back and told us we had to leave, not just the lake but Iceland as a whole. Somebody/something had broken all the equipment! Nets were torn up and the poles looked like toothpicks. Well, again this is a dream, we decided to stay because a party or concert was going on that night. When we arrived, I immediately saw a dark haired man dancing with no shirt on. He had a tight pair of what I thought was pants on. These neon rainbow lights made him appear to shimmer like a trout. As I got closer though, I saw it was not the lights that made him shimmer. He was rainbow tinted. Then, I saw his pants were made of bugs! These were gross flies and crawling things like you would see near the shore. I was both repulsed and turned on. When I woke up I googled this but found nothing. The good news is, what ever it was brought money! When ever after that dream I see him again in another dream, I get money. So, I have decided to like sea creatures. I wonder if iku-Turso was protecting money. Could trout man be his more human form in dreams?
