I have a new idea for the channel instead of just having you guys show us this stuff and bring in a beginner for a few months to show true progression and to be able to have him/her to be able to describe from a beginner point of view from what it feels like to the different things they tried to make it easier

I love the beginner videos. I’m 50 and just trying to have fun. The videos you guys make aren’t condescending, and it feels like you really want to help people learn, and you enjoy teaching. Thanks for the info, and I’ll keep watching.

Just getting into mtb, at 61 years young. This video is just what I needed. Trek 7 will appreciate me having this knowledge. Thank you

My parents are just starting mtb and are finding it difficult to learn how lean the bike in corners and ride berms properly so if you could do a video "how to corner for beginners" or "how to ride berms for beginners" It would be absolutely AMAZING, my parents and I would be very thankful.

Nice post. Very difficult for beginner. Planning to start riding from next year as I just got a road bike and can only have budget to get a MTB next year and would be in my late 20s hopefully such videos would be done before then.

How are your parents doing?
When I learned popper body position my skill level went up a lot
Looking ahead and riding over loose gravel are the two things I struggle with
I also have been mountain biking inspired by the Gmbn boys. I am so thankful that they are here. Live long and have a great day bois!
Great tips but entirely from a downhill perspective. Half the time you are going uphill. What about tips for climbing? When do you want your suspension locked out vs unlocked? When to try and stand (and how to) and when it's best to stay seated. True, the downhill bits are more dangerous and thus require more skill but uphill is fun too! At least if you're like me and love to climb. I am kind of opposite. The downhills are required links between the climbs. I just try and be safe on the downhills and look forward to the next climb. Sick, I know... ;)
ONE OF THE BEST CLASSIC MTB riding skills basics vids. EVER. To this day....every time I hit the trails....I hear Blake's voice in my head: "Lookin' aheaaaad....braaake....MUHAHHAHA!!!....pumpin'!!....even fastahh!!..." 😂 🏆 GET OUT OF MY HEAD!! 🤬 😂
Hardtail for a change! Love it 👌
Arekon I watch all this mans stuff all the time...funny as heck..
Blake really makes any long Bike Videos more Entertaining to watch and Learn!!!
Thanks, very helpful
Thanks Blake for another hardtail video! 😎

Some great advice here. Thanks alot!!!
This was a super helpful breakdown, thanks!!
extraordinary, amazingly cool
another amazing content! thanks GMBN . big thumbs up!
brilliant video , thank you
Thankyouuu gmbn for this content 🤘
You guys are awesome - thanks again for the videos.
Great vid. I'm guilty of the bad body posistion myself but because my legs and knees can't take more than a minute or so of being bent and supporting me over rough stuff. I always end up either stood locked up, one crank down, or just sitting down on a high seat again and rolling the rest. This doesn't seem to have improved over the last year or so I've been taking MTB more seriously.
Remy M said, stand on the sections that are flat. Race/attack position when turns/anything other than flat comes towards you.
This is my favorite GMBN video yet! Very well done.
Very informative, thanks for sharing.
Great job, mate. Very useful. Thanks.
Blakes awesome. Love watching this dude.
You guys are the best thank you for the advice and tips.

Great teacher a skill in itself. Thanks!!

Love this video. All that I need in one video. Thanks guys. Now to put in practice and having fun 😊
Thanks Blake. Great video on how important the basics are. Basic skills like these are the heart of good riding.
I really like that hardtail💕
This is really helpful, getting basic skills is the key to enjoying the trails.
Nice and very positive coaching so inviting...
Your videos are great! You guys have inspired me to get out and ride. I've learned so much from the channel. And Blake, you are an amazing presenter. The perfect blend of information and humor. Thanks!
As a soon to be mountain biker , I’m so grateful for all your videos! Thanks a lot 👍🏼💪🏼😊
Another great video guys! I've seen each tip mentioned in a variety of your videos, but I'm glad I found this one as it concisely lists and describes each one. OK, moving on to the next one. ;)
Helpful video
This video is extremely helpful for me. Thank you so much! also, I can tell that you really enjoy mountain biking. It tells me that I'd enjoy it as well once I get the hang of it.
Just ordered a Levo Comp and will be getting back into this after 20 years. So glad I came across your channel - subscribed!
thanks for the video i learned a lot of safety basics skills keep it up sir more power to your chanell
GMBN-Blake, it’s a year old but I just watched this video and as always (I’m learning) your production and com-skills are off the chart. Thank you for what you bring to us.
have to say your channel is great always pleasure to watch
Great video! Certainly picked up a few new skills from watching this, I'd have never thought about the pedals had it not been mentioned.
Brilliant video!
I like that kind of video. Really usefull, basic but usefull to be reminded.
Its always a good idea to go back to basics
I took notes on this skills video. I know Blake's tips are going to be an asset for me as I prepare myself to take on mountain biking. With Blake and his team's instruction and efforts, I'll have more fun and ride safe too.
I'm new to the mtb sport. Just got a hard tail and will be riding the trails soon. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks for uploading this type of skills in Hardtrail riding👍
Dream bike!!😍 Ill have my own someday😍😍🙏
I found it very useful and good tips
Great video Blake.
Thank you
Just bought a Motobecane 527ds. It’s arriving tomorrow and I can’t wait!
In terms of position and soaking up the trail, it helps me immensely to focus on using my body as suspension for my head. Keeping my head still is easy to concentrate on and the rest happens automatically.
Dear gentlemen... you just got yourself another subscriber... Great explanations of great knowledge, wrapped in a very nice beginnerfriendly attitude. Thank you for your work! I just ordered my very first MTB after probably 20-25 years of not cycling at all.. nothing too professional still it was $400 which I hope is good enough to get a good feel for this new hobby of mine (hopefully!) I will keep watching your videos to learn more about all the do and dont's. Thank you !
Im soo glad i dont do the early mistakes i didnt even know them i did know to level your cranks cause for me that was common sence and i cant spell thank you
I’ve been mountain biking for 11 years now and know pretty much all of those skills you mentioned. HOWERVER, it’s still great watching your vids since I always forget to put those skills into practice, it acts as a reminder to me Thanks GMBN for all that great content Cheers from south of the channel
Great video. I’ve been mtn biking for years, having learned my technique through practice, and at times, painful experience. Can’t wait to add some new skills to my riding.
Thanks Guys!!
Among all the redundant info we are so lovely taking in (and re-viewing every now and then voluntarily), this is by far the most useful and complete if you ask me. So, don’t ask!
Brilliant, nice simple basic stuff for everyone that can go out a practice to build up skills. , Good vid 👌
Your good man thank u
Great video!
Yeah more hardtail videos!!!!!!
Im excited!! After I got my bike rack, I stopped by a local bike park, where I was able to finally look at the berm, and work on cornering, as well as the jumps. You are correct, your body has to be a sponge or damper where you soak up the energy as well, even in a hardtail. I wanted to practice more, also need to invest in some kneepads, lol
Blake you are the best.
Any new content for the advanced rider or racer? Would love some race day walk throughs for enduro or something. Racing a few this year along with dh but dont really know what to expect.

These videos about hardcore hardtails make me rethink my decision to sell my Dartmoor Hornet. Videos on HCHT, keep 'em coming!
keep making good videos on this HardTail it look so cool ! and more realistic for us !
I really appreciate a video like this where editing is done to focus on what is important, and there isn't a bunch of filler. The example at 6:26 was genius. I also like the 'outlines' that come and go like :47 -- possibly even including that with timestamps at the top of the description (and ideally using the new KZread feature where the progress bar is chunked and labelled). Once you've been riding you probably forget about what the problem areas are so if you ever do a follow up video you should consider inviting someone new who has only gone once or twice and then focusing on what they struggle with and asking them what questions they have. Thanks!
thanks for info just started mtb your videos are awesome
Hmmm seems like my practice of the basics this summer is pretty much on track. I need to find a good place for practicing pumping tho, definitely need to work on that skill!
Blakes videos are very good!👌
Just ordered my gmbn jersey !!
i like your video presentation informative, witty and fun
