    Aamir Khan's point about lack of imagination holds true even for animation in India. Only historic and religious films are animated in India (not bad but need expansion). We are nowhere near the imaginative landscapes and weird but amazing concepts used by several masterpieces such as Spirited Away and other films.

    @@biswasronit maybe that's because we are used to hear music all the time in movies . I'm not saying completely remove songs just add a little bit background song which last for some seconds. But in Indian movies most of the time songs become the entire movie I have seen people seeing shitty movies to just watch it's songs. This just make the movie more advantage compared to artists for them they may get some popularity but still the song will be named by the movie mainly.

    Ra One had a great concept tbh and the CGI was just way ahead of its time ( especially for bollywood in 2011) but sadly the execution was the problem. We could have gotten bit more of Sci fi concepts and mind blowing action scenes..... Instead the major part of the movie was spend on stereotypical south Indian characters and Weird bollywood dance scenes.

Not that I haven't watched anything like this before, but I still am enjoying it. On the 4th episode right now. Anyhow, keep up the great work. And stay safe. Cya!

    Regarding the Inception debate, I feel that we as audience need to accept such out of the box topic that compels us to think & perceive differently. There is definitely no dearth of talent in our country which is visible through various other forms of media viz OTT,short films. But these talented people need wings to fly and we as audience aren’t quite ready to give them flight. The first day viewership count of Radhe speaks volume about the content that we’re longing for in 2021. Edit: A Big fans of yours :) Admire your love regarding this art and also supporting quality content across formats.

    I think you don't understand one basic thing that the american and indian audiences aren't simillar they are poles apart in terms of their culture and pop-culture which creates a marginal difference in acceptance of the same product Also I don't think you know the real problem The real problem is mediocrity and lack of originality Also , even if bollywood makes a movie like inception , it would never be of the same-level as the original because it is a copy of the orignial it's the very same reason why the animation movies of hollywood are never of the same level as of japanese animes or why hollywood remakes of animes have been failures Even " Who killed Captain Alex ? " is quite acclaimed ( 8 stars on imdb ) but a simillar film if produced by hollywood would become a laughing stock

  • @dhyanvyas1562

    @dhyanvyas1562

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@muderer_executioner you’re absolutely right. There’s a certain tone/aura associated with every culture that’s able to connect well with their people and that’s why the adaptation/remake doesn’t sit well with a certain section of audience. And yes we are truly in the “remake” era which was well explained by Jammy in his earlier video “Is Bollywood becoming a remake factory?” Also I’m not saying that we should blindly copy the gist of a particular film & then paste it. What I’m saying is that there are very much other genres/ideas that are quite untouched by bollywood. And there are people definitely out there who can write good and original content but the makers aren’t ready to experiment because c’mon who’d try to make something on an original concept when the same “recycled” material would yield better returns. But I’m very hopeful that time isn’t far when we’ll get quality content produced on a regular basis as Indian audiences are slowly but steadily evolving & accepting something different and then the makers would be compelled to rake in crew that churns out good content
