On Friday, El Campo traveled to Boerne to play Champion in a ranked non-district showcase. Ultimately, Ricebirds running back Rueben Owens tore apart the Champion defense and rushed for 4 TDs in El Campo's 55-10 victory.

What are your takeaways from the El Campo vs Champion game?

El Campo is battle tested although I do not see them going far because Lindale, LBj, and Kilgore may come back to region 3 playoffs and big boi Argyle have a notable win against Nolan Catholic, La Vega(LBJ straight up swallowed the offense), and Celina. Lastly, schools near Houston or closer to Houston seem to win majority of the time against schools near San-Antonio.

@@coldassnow8028 Will be interesting to see how they do in the playoffs. They got ousted pretty early last year but I’m feeling a little bit of a spark on this year’s team! But, as you said, there are a lot of roadblocks in the way

@@coldassnow8028 That region has too many good teams. Last year they got bounced out in the third round. LBJ on another level, this was suppose to be a down year for them but they're playing good. LA Vega is a different team always in the playoffs Don Hyde also has them Playoff ready they might have also found their QB which is a UT baseball commit. LA Vega played Argyle close they only gave up one offensive td others were special teams in the Argyle game.
