Even though the sites have some trickery to the 'free' bits, these courses are still worth the price of admission. I'm signing up for all of them except the one that requires pythons trained to do math. I swore off that evil long ago. My future, successful self thanks you, Hoz. Really love your videos.

I saw the courses advertised as free and rushed to make the video, never thinking the platform they’re on would have their own fees :/ but yea these courses are still worth it - massive too on the long term. Great insight! Unfortunately, what I can foresee happening is companies will look inhouse for their AI expert. Most likely the social media, IT or marketing staff will be called upon to upskill. As you've shown, the courses are already available.

I think you’re right when it comes to smaller companies especially, but a lot of companies spent time and resources on people in roles and it makes more financial sense to employ new staff for new roles than to move existing staff from key roles and than have to retrain new staff to replace the moved staff. The company where I worked as an IT manager would have done what you mention and I would have ended up with more responsibilities though. There’s also a huge amount of small local businesses that will look to external agencies for help (that’s the space I would be focusing on as a freelancer)

The Coursera one is not free anymore (aside from the 7 day trial). Could you recommend a new list of really credible courses with certificates in January 2024, please? There are so many of them, it's ridiculous.

The third one you have to pay £38 a month for membership

The Coursera courses say they are free but when you enroll it says it’s £34 per month.

Yeah that’s a big disappointment. These courses were advertised as free on the publications I found. I think the ‘deal’ is the course is free but the platform has fees. That’s just word voodoo of course, they shouldn’t have been advertised as free.

@@theycallmehoz yeah, they do seem pretty good value for what is included with their other courses but like you say, they shouldn’t say free if you can’t access them for free. Great content either way as always! 👍

Coursera is not free. The course is, but you gotta pay the platform.
