Mine does that while running. Not when it's off. Idk what it is.

Great video. That solenoid looks exactly like pvh solenoid for the electrical hub lock. Is this the same part? I am needing to change my pvh and that's the only one I can find.

Mine had been making that noise intermittently until the last couple days. Now it's every time me I turn off the engine. Coincidentally, as I watched the odometer roll over to 180k yesterday I had a check engine light come on for "low turbo boost" The cold side intercooler tube that you removed to get at the solenoid has a crack in and needs to be replaced. About to order parts now and I'm wondering if I should maybe order a new throttle body if mine is going to look like your does and do it all at once.. Anyway, thanks for the video.

Thanks for the nice video. I hear some fri ding noise on the waste hate solenoid AFTER I turn off my 2020 ford f350 6.7. It also give me P2565 code. Do I need to replace the waste hate solenoid? Any advise why I hear this noise? I appreciate any help!

My boost guage was all around today. Now I have no crank just some strange almost like grinding noise when I turn the key

Could it be causing my truck to idle higher mine started making the noise at this solenoid and is now idling at 750 rpm instead of 600 like usual. It’s not throwing any codes

So what is this thing actually for? if the solenoid failed what actually isn't working any longer?

I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to make that noise which is air equalizing from the vacuum pump which allows you to electronically shift to 4X4 without having to manually switch the hubs. I’ve replace the vacuum hose twice now in 217,000 miles when my truck stopped making that noise. It gets brittle and cracks after a while and will no longer hold a vacuum. When you don’t hear that noise you have a problem not when you do. It also causes a Low Turbo Boost code if it doesn’t hold a vacuum.

Which vacuum hose did you replace

I’ve had this noise come up a few times, I was thinking it was air in the system. I’d just leave my key forward until it stopped. But anyway, just today my truck wasn’t spooling and I couldn’t hear the blowoff at all. Could this be a solution to that problem?

Sorry to hear that. I don’t think that this part could prevent your truck from spooling. The holes are tiny and I just don’t see that being the issue. I think it’s designed to be a bleed off to get the air off the waste gate.

Ronnie Link you should have it then. 11 to 14 came with a wastegated turbo

Is there a code associated with this problem? I currently have a p132b code on my 2011 and am wondering if it is the same problem

I don’t think so. This is related to your waste gate on your turbo. If you delete it, it will not effect your turbo.

No it won't stop even with delete. Had to change mine in my 14.
