Stunning home. I was house hunting and bought end of March. Love my home but that home wow!! Breathtaking!!

I use to hike around and live near this house. It's so awesome to finally be able to see what it actually looks like inside and out.

Agree. I wonder if it is a spec house & they had to value engineer it?... I like the exposed PSL stair treads though, that's a cool modern look. Odd they chose a cloudy day to shoot considering Reno is usually blue skies.

@@stevenburton7725 I lived in Callahan Ranch for a couple years - always beautiful except when the fires got too bad.

It's so ultra modern that it looks like an office building with bedrooms. Cold looking and not much privacy. There are nicer million dollar homes at St. James and at Tahoe.

@@rmaloney9976 good point. reno can be a cold city. thats why houses come with built in heaters. im currently living in a very (VERY) cheap and inexpensive apartment (carson city) and every room has a heater built into the room. no ac, but thats kind of proving my point. usually places come with a heater but no ac, so its concerning to see a "luxury" house not have built in heating. really shows its true worth

I prefer the layout and design of the parlor.

For that much money I could design and build the Home of My Dreams. And surrounded by trees and water... In Jamaica!!!

This house wasn't built in 2018. I've lived in reno 31 years and it's been there as long as I can remember.

The land around these homes in nevada looks so grey and post apocalyptic! The looks and finishes are great, infact they are a great bargain compared to what some unfair mansions in LA charge you but the landscape around the home feels so lifeless

yeah thats nevada haha. the old way from reno to carson has some really beautiful (much less expensive) houses and every time i see one that isnt in the middle of practically a forest i always feel so sad about the landscaping. definitely something ive noticed more since ive been paying attention to that kinda stuff. cmon guys we need some trees at least

Reno actually isn’t bad, my daughter lives there. So close to beautiful Lake Tahoe area, snow skiing, and Sacramento isn’t TOO far. Lots of Cali people moving there. Low taxes. 4 seasons of weather but not extreme.

@@TahoeRealm LOL. Don’t worry, but actually I’m in Reno visiting right now. SW near McCarran. Just got back from a day at South Lake Tahoe. Such a beautiful drive! And enjoyed the town and a beach. But alas I gotta fly back to Chicago in 2 days.. I enjoy visiting the kids but can’t afford to move here. Oh well.

Just wait until the summertime. It's nonstop VERY hazardous smoke, plus the crime in reno is skyrocketing. Not sure why anyone would want to move there

House staged to be blah.....the basic color scheme would allow a decorator to soice up tge pace very easily. Noticed a dog bed....maybe the doggie going in the video would have made the home appear actually lived in!!

Biggest issue for Reno/Sparks or Northern Nevada is most of home buyers from CA, it's cheaper compared to CA but it's not cheap for locals. Average salary in Reno is still low but house went double or triple in price. What will happen in next 3 to 5 years when there are no more buyers from other States? And people are tired of Reno because there is little nothing here in Reno beside little Casinos?

if we're going based on actual worth it'd be about 1mil :) housing in reno is very cheap compared to beverly hills but this for 6.5 million dollars is just... a rip off
